This hotel was okay. The room was clean and a fair size but I’m glad we were only staying one night here as there’s not really much around this area. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Underground which was okay but honestly, I would have been happier to spend the extra dosh and stay in the heart of London. The breakfast buffet that was included was pretty good and the dining area was quite large. The car park in front of the hotel is on a first-come-first-serve basis so I’m not really sure what you’d do if you didn’t get a spot. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful so overall, it was a pleasant stay for a good price.

I have been choosing a hotel to stay near Greenwich, before that i stayed in Ibis, which is situated next to greenwich market, this time I decided to stay in this hotel. Impressed, much more luxurious than Ibis, obviously it cost more, but it worth staying if you enjoy modern athmosphere and comfort.

Clean, modern Holiday Inn Express. A really large, nice lounge area. The breakfast buffet had great sausages. I’ve never had bad sausages at a breakfast buffet at a HIX in the UK, oddly. The only down side is the buffets in the UK are unchanging. Every day, the same selection. Not bad if you’re there for 3 days but 7 days it can get onerous, forcing one to start eating the fruit at the buffet simply for variety. Odd items include baked beans and packets of «brown sauce». I really enjoyed the sliced swiss cheese. Not sure what I was supposed to do with it other than roll it up and shove it into my mouth. Which I did. A lot. I did like they had two coffee/latte/cappuccino machines. No waiting. Free wifi in the lobby/dining area. Wifi for some typical crazy hotel rate in your room. The soap and shampoo are all wall mounted pump bottles, so no groovy freebies to sequester in your luggage. There’s an ice machine on the main floor. As the reviewer Naimah notes, the staffing need some work. Night manager Carlos Rojas seemed to run from problems. Need to call him out by name. The cleaners grabbed my bag of dirty clothes and tossed it. Naturally, I kinda needed to bring this to the attention of the night manager when I returned to my room. Rojas said he’d check on it and then never bothered to find me when he determined no bag of clothing was found in the house keeping area. I had to go looking for him. This is how they treat their Priority Club members. Geez. My conversation with the night desk person went like this: «What time do they throw out the garbage?» «I don’t know.» «Ummm is there someone you can ask?‘ Wanders away. „4 am.“ „Could you put a sign on the trash bin asking them not to toss it at 4 am.“ „Okay.“ “Think anyone could poke around the bin right now?» «No.» “No one wants to own this mistake?“ The day staff proves to be a lot more on the ball but even they had their limits. I asked about getting a taxi to the O2. The desk guy tossed up his hands and guessed it would be impossible to get a taxi. «Traffic was bad,» he guessed. He didn’t pick up a phone. Didn’t seem to think the subway station at the O2 probably had a cab stand and there was zero traffic heading south. We had to find one on our own, successfully so. The Greenwich crew seems to slip into neutral when confronted with anything but checking in, checking out. These people make the Apple store Genius bar staffers look on the ball. And that’s saying a lot. Location wise, it’s a 15 minute walk from the O2. South is a movie theater complex. Area dining choices are kind of cookie cutter. Walk 15 min to the 02 for a range of chain restaurants. Walk 5 minutes south to the movie theater complex for a handful of chain restaurants. The closest grocery store/convenience store is at the 02. I wouldn’t stay here as a tourist but if you have to do biz at the O2 it seems roughly your only option and not a bad one at that.

OK for shows at O2 and for a short stay break. Rooms clean, well maintained and quite spacious. Breakfast was continental and as much as you like. Parking is quite limited. Bit of hike to Greenwich North tube but good service on Jubilee line. Sometimes they do a 3 night break for two at about £120. If you’re lucky. 23÷7÷12. Used the Pimlico branch, as it was nearer to where we were going. This Greenwich branch stills has my vote as one of the best!!!

Nothing special. It’s clean and a double room is a fine size for a night or two’s stay. I assume it is frequented by people who have visited the O2 arena.

Last minute choice for a three week trip with family. Was not sure what I was getting with such low budget. To my surprise, I was pleasantly surprise. Complimentary breakfast was excellent, hot and cold choices. Rooms were excellent. I had an adjoining room with family members and it was great. Close to transportation is a plus. Staff were fine a little stand offish. Would definitely choose this hotel again and recommend it to others.

I have stayed here many times, mainly on business occasionally(well once) with the family. The good stuff-great for the 02 and the rooms are reasonably clean and tidy. The bit of a pain stuff-parking is really quite a chew, after travelling all day to get to a hotel and then find there are no spaces is a bit off. Its not even as if it is in the town centre. There is not much around this hotel. There is a Chinese restaurant below the hotel which seems to be very popular. Other than that, its the retail park next door or a pint of Stella in the bar with the rest of the rat race. There is not much bad stuff, a decent hotel which feels like its situated in the middle of no where. Still, I guess you can always mooch down to the 02
