An odd institution. Set up in a rather grand marquee, it’s a temporary Olympic-​themed night club. You can watch the games, hob nob with some sports glitterati, and get up to some athletic dancing with a DJ.
I think the idea is that you call in on your way to the games, get an armband and lunch, then return on your way back to party. It’s close to where many visitors to the Games would plug into the DLR from the Tube system (Tower Gateway).
During the day, the place is a bit of a restful haven if you’re between events. You can pick up quite a reasonable retro-​nouvelle bite. Loved the traditional British strawberry dessert.
And you’re in the moat of the Tower of London. How cool is that?
