Quality of food was great; service unfriendly and unhelpful. I thought the quality and taste of the hummus was spot on(could really get that taste of tahini/sesame in it, yum). I got a large bowl with falafel and guacamole salad. Both were nice as well — funny to have dips on dips(guacamole on hummus), but tasted great! And by the end of the large bowl, with two whole wheat pitas, I was really stuffed. I’ll go for the smaller bowl next time. The service wasn’t good — I was asking for clarifications about the menu, how the place works, etc. and was greeted with short, unhelpful answers. For example, how long will the hummus in a tub last if I bring it home and keep it in the fridge? Today only.(doubtful…). Do you offer student discount? No.(this is opposite of what one of the earlier Unilocal reviews said!). Overall I left with a bad impression of the service, even if the food was great.

I love eating here and I love the variety of the food. The staff are really friendly and attentive to my needs. The place has an industrial look. Its really quick at lunch time for take away and pretty good value too. I like the kale and chicken. Love it

i’m visiting London a lot more at the moment and being in a city i dont know means ive become more reliant of Unilocal for useful information. after a quick look at Unilocal to see what was nearby… up pops hummus bros. turns out its in my office building but on the side of the street i never walk down. WIN! clean, modern and industrial is how i’d describe it. Although mainly aimed at lunch time take out(i think), it does have some seating. Menu is clear concise and not overly complicated or too many options. With this said i must have still looked a little baffled(probably because i wanted to eat it all) as the lovely lady on the till taking orders quickly jumped into action to help me through it. Excellent service. And continued as i had everything bagged and ready to go within 2 mins. FYI i ordred chicken & Guacamole hummus bowl, with pitta and a drink and a side of tabbouleh salad. £8. not bad for london, when i can get a sandwich and drink i dont like for £6+ I’m now sat at my desk eating it and aside from the taboulleh perhaps requiring a little more lemon juice(which i expect is a personal preference) its a winner! Really delicious and satisfying lunch!

Congratulations! You became one of my favourite restaurants in Holborn! Honestly, I am obsessed with their falafel and hummus! As other people have mentioned, I became so full even with a normal portion but it was moreish! My order for the first time was ‘Hummus bowl with Chicken & Falafel salad’ which was beautiful! The hummus salad was mild and creamy with rich sesame flavour. Then crunchy aromatic falafel and chicken gave a wonderful accent! Tender Tzatziki also helped to make a wonderful completion of the dish! For the second time, I finally ordered«Hummus bowl with Guacamole and falafel salad which was great as I expected! The restaurant is stylish and modern style on the wooden floor at the clean premises. I felt their passion into the brand(as you can see they put effort into the design of bags too!) and they select the ingredients carefully.

I had their plain hummus tonight and found it to be boring and lacking the traditional hummus flavors I was seeking. Honestly, the prepackaged hummus at the nearby Sainsbury’s was tastier. I’ll give credit though to the texture of the hummus here, which is very smooth and lovely. Perhaps their hummus dishes with the toppings are actually good, but I think I’ll look elsewhere when I’m craving hummus.

Had dinner here recently, but overall came away with mixed feelings. First, the place has a nice setup, with a small ground floor quick service area set up with picnic style tables and a large upper floor. It was fairly busy when we went, with two large tour groups occupying the upstairs in succession. A server quickly took our order at the table, and the food came out within a few minutes, which was great. The portions are decent sized, especially as pita and hummus are quite filling. We got a large bowl and a wrap, and this was more than enough for two people to share. The hummus was delicious and the two warm brown fluffy pita was perfect to tear and dip. The wrap was pretty big, but stayed together nicely. Onto the negative: first, they got our bowl order wrong. We ordered chicken and guacamole, but were served chicken and falafel. We were hungry though and didn’t want to wait for a new one so we didn’t bring this up with staff. Second, the falafel had a delicious crunchy exterior but they were almost cold, which wasn’t too appealing. Third, they added almost £7 to the bill, with an item apparently coming from a table that had already left. When we brought that up after paying they apologized and gave us £3 back, mystifyingly; we had to prompt again for the correct change. Fourth, the bathroom was pretty messy, with shreds of paper on the ground and the ol’ watered down hand soap trick, which made it difficult to feel like you could wash your hands well — kind of important with this kind of cuisine. Fifth, to top it off, when we asked if there was a student discount, staff just said, «No.» That was a bit disappointing considered how it’s all over the Unilocal page, but also left us puzzled and no further information was given. So all in all, despite the genuinely delicious food, probably won’t be heading back here. Too many little bothers came up and took away from the overall experience. That said, it seems very popular for large groups, probably for the location, space, fast and good eats, and decent price.

Whenever I go to one of their branches I always go for the Fallafel Salad Bowls. They are nice and big and really pack it in. It’s also fresh and cheap. I always add some lamb too to the bowl for a bit more substance.

Great hummus, nice filling options for a healthy lunch and quick service. The understairs coat rack is a nice touch for eat in dinners.

The place is good, but know what you’re getting into… I was craving falafel and found this place by googling. I ordered a falafel wrap without thinking much about it. It came with the usual suspects, minus garlic/onions, plus pickles and tortilla chips on the side? I think the feeble attempt at what I assume to be Mexican fusion was really strange, and I hate pickles. And we’re not talking assorted pickled vegetables, but actual pickles like you would put on a ham sandwich or something. My friend got the spicy wrap and it tasted like jalapeño, and you can add guacamole. I’m sure people like it, but I didn’t expect it or want it. Anyway — besides that the food was good. Hummus is thicker than usual, more like a heavy paste. Quite good. Falafel was chunkier than usual but the texture and flavor are good. Yeah, it feels a bit expensive for a vegetarian meal but I’ve paid more for worse falafel in London… I’ll go back. Supposedly there is a student discount as well.

This place blows. Out of guacamole, pita and carrots when i went. I upgraded to a «large» chicken/hummus bowl. Probably two pieces of chicken on top of a massive tub of just hummus for 8. Terrible experience.

Such a solid idea! Really great modern take away food but without the feel of fast food. Really tasty, really fresh. The hummus was so good i got another tub to take home.

A solid 4. The food is really tasty — I had a hummus, chicken and falafel salad with sundried tomatoes and a pita. However it’s slightly pricey for what you get — I got the small portion and was disappointed this has one small piece of falafel and was mostly hummus. I only had one pita to eat all the hummus which wasn’t enough. Still, it filled me up and tasted delicious. As Alex said, not a lot of places to sit here but great for takeaway. Service was really quick and I took my lunch over to Russell Square for a picnic.

If you are looking for something quick and tasty this is an excellent option. The Hummus is tasteful and you can get extra two sidings, chicken, lamb, falafel and tabule. There are two sizes and you can have it on a bow or as a wrap. And under 6 pounds you will have a nice and healthy lunch. I really recommend it.

The hummus is good, and the sides are ok as well. It’s still not as fantastic as most people say. Definitely worth a try is you never and the staff is really nice. But I can’t say it’s my favourite place.

Nice food and great value! Hummus is nice but not the best I’ve tasted! Same with their tzatziki! Would recommend but not mad about it! Nice spot for quick eats!

This is my local and I love it! It’s close to campus, they have wifi and long chairs and student discounts… what more can a girl ask for? Lunch for under a tenner in this neighborhood? Yes, it can be done! I have been here many times, so I can say it’s really well made hummus, everything taste really fresh. FOOD: My usual is the regular beef with warm cider, but the veg and chicken options are just as good. I will say that I wish they had more pitas, but I rarely ever finish mine, so I take it home for a late night snack, hence the regular over small. SERVICE: They guys here are really great too, and for first timers, patient and helpful. LOCATION: They have an upstairs location and for being so close to a busy intersection, it’s a relatively quiet place to work, especially after the lunch rush. I highly recommend it as a place to break up the lunch monotony and keep with a healthy diet.

While the United States seemingly has a hummus monopoly where one can find himself or herself dipping things into large tubs of Sabra hummus for any occasion, the United Kingdom does not. But the UK has dining places that specialise in freshly made hummus. As the hummus tub has been a party lifesaver for any American event, stuffing ones mouth with pre-made hummus is not the same experience as stuffing one’s mouth with freshly blended and whipped chickpeas. It makes me sad that a place that specializes in homemade hummus only exists in the United Kingdom. The hummus is whipped into a cream-like texture. The hummus cream tastes slightly tangy, and nutty but well-blended with oil, chick peas and possibly garlic; and served with the freshest most fluffy pita bread imaginable. The hummus has such a fine flavor that has the quality of it being blended with egg yolk(though it is actually vegan.) My favourite part about this place is that table service is not compulsory. The hummus with pita could be eaten in any part of the two-story building but there is no waiter service on the ground level. Upstairs offers table service, with couches and a food elevator. It is a lot more quiet and business meeting-like up there. Three Tips: Tip 1: While the picnic table/communal table style seating fills up on the ground level very fast, takeaway is also an option and cheaper. Tip 2: Dinner prices are more expensive than lunch prices. Perhaps the more expensive the quieter? Takeaway for dinner, for example, is same price as eating in for lunch. Tip 3: Although this place is small and seating is limited, find another dining place in the area that offers free wifi! Tip 3 A: Credit cards are accepted.

When my lunch meeting asked where we were going, I told her we were going to destroy some falafel. And destroy it we did. Hummus Bros is about as laid back a lunch spot as you can get — counter to order from, menu on the walls, a few tables throughout the place. However, it wins in a couple areas. First off, the food, which is just great. Fresh, delicious, I loved my falafel salad that came with three big falafel pates, a ton of humus, tzatziki sauce and veggies. Plus, two warm pita breads. Oh my yes. We ordered tabouleh on the side and it was so damn green and tasty it made my head explode. Then the price, which is cheap. About £7 for my falafel and £3 for the tabouleh(and that was certainly made to be split between two, if not three), Finally, the service, which was great. They took the orders fast and brought the food fast — and they even brought it right to our table so we could sit after paying. Love it. My only issue was the space, since there didn’t seem to be that many tables and we ended up having to awkwardly share with another person. Turns out there is a whole separate section upstairs that they had closed off for some reason during the peak of lunch hour. They opened it halfway through my meal but it would have been nice to be able to use it before. Ah well, Nothing fancy but certainly worth checking out for a quick bite.

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Hummas Bros. LoveLoveLove. I won’t leave London without some. I get hummas with ‘shrooms on top. There’s a low fat hummas(minus the Tahini), but it gets gone quick! I was there twice last week. The first time, I was quietly reading and minding my business. A few annoying students decided to practically sit on top of my TUSH(I wanna say something else). Why not sit at the other bench or the stools??? They gave lame, meek apologies and proceeded with their loud and inane banter. Eventually I got up and moved my seat. I think the server felt badly because he came over and offered me a lovely mint tea on the house. Oh it was yummy. I had another. Love this place and if someone wants to go in with me, I’d open one in NY, DC and Miami!
