JP’s Café is a charming little place located in Chrisp Street Market in Poplar. Surrounded by the bustle of the market itself, JP’s caters to vast numbers of loyal customers and gets incredibly busy at peak periods. Food is very competitively priced for the postcode and consists of ‘proper’ café grub, think fantastic sausage sandwiches and hearty all day breakfasts, washed down with mugs of tea. The clientele is a mix of local workmen and visitors to the market and following a handful of visits I can never recall a plate going back to the kitchen with any food left on it. Recommended.
