If you don’t like fish and chips then this is not the place for you as this is a fish and chips place. Having said that they do more than just fish and chips. The fish is fresh and the chips are perfectly cut and fried. Id recommend trying the fish with the chips for an ultimate fish and chips combination! Staff are a bonus. Price is a slight let down. Cor

My husband discovered this place and wouldn’t stop raving about it until I tried it. I’m really happy I did. The chips are superb and the fish is crispy and fresh. It’s very quick. There’s a few small tables to sit down, but it’s mostly a takeaway. I definitely need to try more places in Streatham, but this makes the list of one of my favorites.

Kennedy’s is the best Fish and Chip shop in London, in fact it may be the best I have ever tasted, I’m glad I don’t live closer to Streatham Hill station as I would be in here all the time. The chips are perfect, chunky and in no way greasy. Everything is freshly cooked, the portions are massive and it is always packed out on a Friday.

Best. Chips. In. London. Plus big props for their butternut squash pie. And mushy peas for the side. The only problem is this is right by my gym! And often erases all my hard work!

I feel a little bit dirty reviewing a fish and chip shop on Unilocal but Kennedy’s is really good. I’m actually not a huge fish and chips fan but it’s worth a buy if you are in the area. Deviating away from cod and chips might sound a little out of order but the pies here are really good as well — they even do good pasta salad! It actually smells good as well and the food isn’t offensively greasy.

So lucky to have Kennedy’s just down the road. They do a great range of fish, some great white fishes such as cod and haddock, but also other fish and seafood such as salmon or calamari. Their pies are also worth a try, I particularly enjoyed their veggie varieties. The chips are really good, freshly fried and not too greasy. It’s very hard to wait at the bus stop and not pop in for tea!

This might be blasphemous, but… the fish is so good that you don’t need the chips. No lie, I want to go in and order and a basket of fish and fish. The fish was still crispy from our walk back to the house and yet the batter is still so light. Whatever they do, that batter is key. For me, this shop is all about the fish!

Faultless! The guys who own Kennedys own their own fishery which results in the best quality fresh fish, pies are homemade, venison & port is amazing! There is a queue nightly which advertises the quality of food and service. Love it!

Superb Cod and chips. I consider myself a fish and chip connoisseur and theirs is right up there in the top 1%. The staff appear to take pride in their work. Very pleased to have found this place.

Kennedy’s are arguably the best fish and chip shop in Streatham. I would happily argue this until blue in the face. Last night, I got myself some post-surgery celebration chips — with cod, onion gravy and mushy peas. You know how you have to fast before surgery, even if it’s minor? Well, by the time I got home at 8pm, I was famished. Kennedy’s made it all ok. Kennedy’s are WONDERFUL. Not only is the fish superbly white and fluffy, in a crisp, golden batter, and the chips fat and plentiful, but the service is efficient. Long live properly FAST food. The mushy peas were nothing to write home about(not bad, but not amazing like the fish and the chips). But the onion gravy? Om nom nom. I ended up stuffed after just half a plateful — I guess that comes from fasting all day. But leftover chips for breakfast? Thank you very much… :)

Finally, a real chippy in South London! I hate places with the gall to label their shops as proper fish and chips when both their chips and their fish come out of a frozen food sack. Kennedy’s is one hundred percent fresh. The cod tastes as if it has just jumped out of the ocean and into your mouth. The chips are fantastic; fresh, thick, with the perfect amount of mush and crisp. The food selection doesn’t start and end with fish and chips. They also serve all kinds of pies, burgers and they have a wide array of sausages that you can stuff your face with. The service is top notch too. As soon as I walked into the shop the staff was eager to assist me. I spent £6.20 on a humungous bag of fish and chips. It was worth every penny.
