Good points: Staff are really nice & friendly, plenty of pools & gym equipment. Bad points: Downstairs lockers STEAL your money(upstairs lockers have same locks, but with return part open). Pool too cold with COLD air blowing into space keeping it cold. This makes people spend less time in the pool & makes it near impossible to warm up. I’ve done a lot swimming & never had this problem before. If the water is cold you can(to a point) warm up, but if they keep it cold(& drafty!) you never can. Brain numbing TV in gym. Tannoy way too load in pool & changing rooms. Some crazy guy does group class in foya next to gym that is so loud & brash I almost tripped off the jogging machine when I heard it! People are too afraid to do anything about it. I complained to manager who said they’re moving the class in a month or so, I suggested that it was more urgent & that someone could SIMPLY ask him to turn it down a bit. Deafening! Showers don’t spray properly they’re just crap. Good price. Handy location. Lovely staff. Shame some d*ck heads who probably don’t use the place are making bad decisions!

Beautiful facilities, really friendly staff and reasonable pricing. Only went once so I don’t know about their classes or anything like that, but what was a bit weird was that in order to get to the gym you have to walk through what could be a spin class going on. The lockers are located in the central hallway and lock things away for .20 p, but its a bit awkward if you want to shower and leave your stuff in the locker, I think there should be lockers for further privacy in seperate room, but thats just me.

Finally it has arrived! The old terracotta grandeur of the Kentish Town Baths had slowly slipped into decline and was closed for refusbishment in 2007. Flas forward to 2010 and it reopened in August with amazing new facilities and genuinely one of the nicest gyms around. My favourite things are: There are 3 pools and the largest with natural light is reserved for adult lane swimming at all times! Classes aren’t busy yet and you can grab a ticket on arrival from a self-service machine in the foyer. It’s cheap There are 95 pieces of equipment in the gym floor with natural light and tv’s to watch — spin room, wii-fit and a large studio for classes. There are powerplates(it costs £10 extra to be inducted on these :() The bad things: lockers are a non-refundable 20p each time for some reason the showers spray water everywhere in the cubicle leaving bags, shoes or towels taken in with you indiscriminately sopping.(although I’m told this has been reported) All in all — a snazzy new council-owned gym without the snazzy price tag so I’ll be here a lot!
