Convenient, reasonably priced, but average, restaurant in Knightsbridge next doors to Sheraton Park Tower. Great place to get breakfast for half the price as the Sheraton, plus they serve breakfast till 1130am while the Sheraton stops at 10. Things I like: 1) Longer breakfast hours 2) The breakfast menu 3) Good day to day dining menu: English staples like Bangers and Mash, combined with a range of pastas and other international dishes which mean there is always something to try. What I don’t like 1) Like eating at a good cafeteria. The food is fine, but it isn’t special. 2) Service can be slow — the staff really don’t seem to care. 3) Staff are not native English speakers and don’t communicate well. 4) Continental Socialist Rigidity — once I was 30 minutes late for Breakfast, and they would not serve me breakfast. Seems ridiculous given that the chef is still there, and they had the ingredients.

This place has been for many years THE main place for Harvey Nichols staff to have lunch — they receive a great discount here and therefore its usually packed out and there can be a bit of a wait for a table. It’s a good place to stop for a spot of lunch, but the café atmosphere and brightly coloured interior make it very informal and it’s definitely not date material! It is Knightsbridge prices, and on weekends their menu is dramatically decreased I think in order to speed up orders as it does get very busy. They do a great chicken and bacon club, which comes in a huge portion with crisps on the side. The service can be patchy and you can end up waiting a bit if it’s busy for your food. I’ve never gone for any of the hot options(they do pastas etc.) but have always found their sandwiches worth going for. However, the drinks are very pricey and their diet coke is served in very small bottles which can be frustrating!

If you can read this review and mentally imagine that it has no stars, you’ll understand how awful this place really is Shocking and strange. It’s hideous in here. Just because you’re in the posh bit of town doesn’t mean you’re getting quality. In this case it means you’re getting weird, badly cooked and over priced rubbish. For a start, I was excited by their iced tea. I really really like iced tea. And I’ll pay through the nose for it. So more than three quid for a glass didn’t bother me too much. Until the gave me a bottle of Lipton Ice. I had to ask for a glass. And ice. I ordered a chicken burger which was undercooked. Dangerously so. Unfortunately I was too hungover to complain. They wouldn’t have noticed anyway. The staff here are incredibly rude. What was the strange part? Well, most of the time when you order a chicken burger, you get chips. Am I wrong? Well I got a few burnt potato wedges and some frozen veg. Seriously. Carrots and peas and cauliflour with a chicken burger. Hardly a hangover cure. I hate cauliflour. It had been boiled for so long it was falling apart. Oh, and it took us an hour to get served too
