So excited to have a new art gallery in my neighbourhood which is neither a street art pop-up nor the stuffy equivalent where the frames are nicer than the works they support. Lacey Contemporary has recently opened and I finally managed to visit one of their shows. The current exhibition showcases three British sculptors and also includes examples of paintings by some of the other artists they represent downstairs. Hard to believe that this is where Cath Kidston started her retro empire. Lacey stripped back the pastel floors and displays art in an uncluttered showroom. A classy addition to this magic little corner in the backwaters of Notting Hill.
