Lime & Thyme

Had good curb appeal & nice looking menu, even had a lunchtime special, so decided to give it a try. Drinks order taken quickly, drinks came and order taken quickly, the fast service stopped there! Menu had a wide range of choices and a special lunch menu, two courses for £9.95 or three courses for £13.95. Decided to go for the hummus w/​pitta to start (had some carrots in side also, but appear to have been very chilled or even frozen!) and the goats cheese pizza for main. Starters arrived after about 10mins, was very tasty and good sized portion. Unfortunately we then had to wait at least another 20mins for the mains. We asked the manager where the food was, but he just brushed it off as being busy! Food finally arrived… Pizza was well presented on thick round wooden board, however given it was suppose to be from the brick oven it was very sloppy! The toppings were falling all over the place, and goats cheese was found by a stab in the dark (basically about 6 small cubes only), not the best pizza ever. Ate half & took the rest to go. Another long wait for the bill which was incorrect — tried to charge full price for everything! Two more errors before we got the final corrected bill! Don’t think I’ll be going back there too quickly! Shame cause the place was nice & so was the atmosphere.
