We stopped for early lunch one day and had the breakfast, which was cannelloni beans in tomato sauce, a fine hunk of italian style bacon, bread with olive oil, herbs and garlic. Everything was delicious. Not just nice, but fresh, well seasoned, and beautifully cooked. Really, such a pleasant surprise that I feel compelled to share. In précis: the décor from a skip, the food from heaven. Would like to try an evening meal.

Litro is the first café in London that makes me feel like I could be at home. In London I have always found the lack of café culture a bit of a shock, considering how close to Europe the city is — but there is a distinct lack of nice, casual, outdoor cafes with good fresh food. None of this greasy spoon stuff.(and fried toast what is that!!) Litro is friendly and small. The menu changes every day depending on what they have bought at the market. The kitchen is in plain view so you can watch them cook your food. The wine selection is fantastic, they sell prosecco on tap! Who couldn’t love that! There is also a sweet little backyard for dining out. It is fresh, it is inexpensive and it is local. what is not to love.

well, they didnt have half the food on the menu, got our order mixed up and we waited like two hours for our food. But we still had a great time and the staff were very charming and lovely. Great music and atmosphere. Will be coming back for sure, but perhaps without such an empty stomach!

The food is good, the red wine is served from a giant vat, and its friendly atmosphere is suitable for couples, families or a night out… but the things you really need to know about Litro are: –It has a table-tennis table downstairs –It has quality live music on a Thursday night –It has the best view in London if you sit in the window(see image of ARSENA and imagine the L) Well worth a visit

I really like this charming and unique little café/bar. Hard to describe as it is a bit unusual but it looks and smells great and the staff are very friendly(and also attractive it must be noted). There are various wines, beer on keg from the freedom brewery and real ale in winter. The seating is long tables and benches apart from a couple of smaller tables at the front. I would be interested to see what this place is like on match days given its location right opposite the Emirates. I can’t imagine hordes of loud football fans descending on it. I almost want to protect it! Doesn’t take cards, but there is a Tesco with a free cashpoint almost opposite.
