For Chinese and other South East Asian ingredients Loon Fung is hard to beat. There is plenty of parking and the public is welcome, you don’t need to be a trader or restauranteur to shop here, given that this is more a cash and carry than a retailer.
Great selection of fresh, chilled, frozen and dry goods.
Big jars of curry paste at a fraction of what you would pay retail makes this well worth a visit alone. There are regular sized packages of pretty much everything, and in the back section of the warehouse you can pick up canned and jar goods by the case for further savings.
All prices are marked up with shelf edge labels, which is not the case with all cash and carry outlets.
Unlike the grocery shops in Chinatown you won’t be jostling with tourists in here — nice wide aisles, trolleys to load up and better prices than Gerrard Street.

However if you like Chinese/​Oriental food and if you like cooking this is the place for you! There’s every type of Chinese ingredient you can think of and a few you cant. think instant shark fin soup and odd looking pickled ingredients from mushrooms to monkey heads! once over the initial shock there is every type of soy sauce, noodles, tofu dim sum, stirfry paste and cooking utensil you can think of, worth it just to look at the packaging! have a browse you wont be dissappointed
