they do cold press juices!!! they’re delicious and are said to be made fresh everyday at £4 each. oh and they also carry 4 kinds of smoothies! cacao and avocado is the jam! yummmmmmserz!

I love me a good walk-​up window. Thanks to Lovage, a self-​proclaimed «JUICE WINDOW AT ACE HOTEL LONDON SHOREDITCH,» I no longer have to associate walk-​up windows exclusively with 2am greasy popcorn shrimp from Popeye’s Chicken (look it up, Brits).
I also love me the Ace Hotel. Sometimes, however, the weather is nice enough that you don’t want to head straight into its cavernous chic. In fact, when it’s as sunny as it was the afternoon I visited, you don’t even want an excellent coffee from Ace’s in-​house café, Bulldog Edition (which also got four stars from me). You want an excellent juice. And you want it al fresco. Thus the genius of the Lovage walk-​up juice window. You following me?
One thing that is harder to love about Ace and Lovage are the prices – a small smoothie can set you back £5. Worth it, but a little extravagant as a habit. They did have a £3 watermelon and coconut water juice that I thought was good value, but I fear it might just be a late summer special. And my fellow Americans, be warned about serving size – the cup is equivalent to about four shots. Sip and savor.
