Avoid at all costs!
Firstly, I wish I had also read the reviews before coming in here! The outside is very inviting and the menu outside makes your taste buds water; however that is really the end of that illusion!
We were seated but I preferred to sit somewhere else so we were left to go to the table by ourselves, with no menus. I was starving because we had just been sat in traffic for way too long. So I was surprised when I came back from the toilet and still no menus.
Finally got the menus and ordered some hummus to tied me over, that came with surprising quickness. Then we ordered a selection of hot mezze and a lamb cous cous for mains. We had falafel, okra, moussaka, the okra was cold and the others mediocre in taste… wouldn’t have again.
For drinks we ordered a fresh mixed juice and a fruit smoothie; these were way over priced and not very big.
Service terrible and food average, wouldn’t recommend or come here again.
And now we just got the bill… Ouch!
Just updating now to reduce this to one star and to say that we were both very sick after a few hours eating here :-(needless to say the food they had packed up for us to takeaway went promptly in the bin while still in Westfield!

The food was distinctly mediocre and overpriced while the service was easily the worst I’ve had in London. Its only redeeming quality were the salads which were quite good. I would give this place a wide berth.

The food was decent but overpriced. Basically, you get the same quality at the Camden Stables for half the price, 2.5÷5. The real downside though was the service. The employees were almost shouting at each others, they brought the main courses before the starters and we had to ask twice for the bill. A total mess, ⁰⁄₅.

TERRIBLE! Avoid at all costs! They are SO overpriced and they use the CHEAPEST ingredients for everything (cheap food
And cheap TERRIBLE charcoal). You can go to any place on edgware road and it will be better. Waste of my money and time! Yuck

Excellent selection of cocktails and a very varied menu. Whether it’s drinks or dining, you are greeted and treated in a warm, friendly and timely manor. For central London it also has reasonable prices, around £7.50 for a cocktail. Each cocktail tends to be followed by a free shot.
Will definitely visit next time I’m at west fields.

Good Food let down by some of the worst service I have encountered in years!
Visited Mandaloun on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. There were lots of staff running around, acting busy even though the restaurant was pretty empty. Waited at our table for 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order. (It seems only the men take the orders as the lady waitress I called didn’t seem to think she could.)
The starter of Hummus and Batata Harra was served and was actually very nice. Not having yet finished half of our starters, the 2 mixed grill meals we had ordered were plonked (and I mean plonked) on our little table for 2! The waiter then attempted to take my starter plate from under me whilst I was still eating from it!
The main was ok, but not brilliant. The rice was very good and the lamb kofta was nicely cooked however we found the chicken overcooked and dry.
I then had to ask for the dessert menu 3 times before they brought it over. They also chose to wait till dessert to bring over the drinks menu otherwise we would have had cocktails instead of our soft drinks.
We then tried the Kenafé for dessert. This was the worst part of the meal as it was cheesecake with congealed cheese melting out of it — you could tell it had been microwaved.
To top it off the waiter got the bill wrong. Although this was rectified when he spoke to the manager.
The only saving grace was the young manager with bald head and beard who seemed quite attentive but let down by his poor staff.
We were so upset about the service we decided to leave minimal tip, the first time we have done so in years!
