This family-run café/sandwich bar is a nice place to spend some time. It’s light and airy, the Italian owners are very charming and helpful and the food is decent, if a little unimaginative. I sat down at the window, watched the world go by and enjoyed a chicken escalope ciabatta. However, this being a nice sandwich bar in Beckenham, they do know how to charge so it’s pricey for what it is.

A nice place to have a sandwich and be fussed over by a man that answers every question in Italian as well as English, even if you don’t speak Italian! They are family friendy and were happy for us to bring our pram in. They are also gay friendly as evidenced by the rainbow triangle on the door and the number of female couples enjoying the papers and a coffee
