MC Car Service

I live down the road from MC Cars, and being one of the only car hires in the area, have unfortunately had to use this on several occasions. I have never gotten great service from them, but for me what makes this a 1-​star company is the lack of directional knowledge of the drivers. This is the key area for a car hire company, and one on which they fail miserably. Drivers consistently do not know the best ways to get to your destination, even local ones. Most egregiously, on a simple trip from Hackney Road to King’s Cross, the driver went all the way up to Highbury & Islington, only to cut back down to Pentonville Road, making what should have been a 5 – 10 minute journey 15 – 20 minutes. Indeed, we were running so far behind we had to get out and run to the station to make our train, and they still docked us £12!
Word to the wise: download and use Über, or hail a black cab. At least they know where they’re going.
