I am awarding Mogul Palace 4 stars but feel it deserves a 3.5. This take away is my local and I always order through Just East. Delivery is always fast but on the one occasion I ordered and chose to collect in person, I was disappointed to see that their kitchen is a pretty messy environment. It didn’t put me off the food but I’ve never made the choice to collect again. I’m not into meat curries so generally order 3 different vegetarian sides and a naan or two. I can’t really rate the meat curries either, especially the seafood ones. Steer clear of those as it’s undoubtedly frozen prawns and fish that go into their dishes. The lamb curries, especially the vindaloo are cooked well and so are the meat grills. When I order for my partner and myself we like to get a mixed grill plus a selection of vegetarian curries. I love their naan bread but feel that each one could be just slightly larger and I’ve never ordered rice from here so can’t comment. Consistency is where I’d rate Mogul Palace a little lower than I would like. I think their food, for the price, is excellent but there does seem to be a consistency issue as I often find that sometimes the vegetable curries are cooked well and other times extremely undercooked. It’s not a really big deal because a few undercooked vegetables probably isn’t going to do me any harm but it would be nice to see a set standard being delivered every single time. Delivery is always prompt, they always give me 2 poppadoms and some dip and salad which is lovely as I never order any and all the food comes in a stapled brown paper bag which is then bagged in a plastic one, so extra points for presentation :)
