Great value for money! Not expect fancy presentations, just excellent homemade looking food from Argentina. Being from Buenos Aires myself I come here every once and again to feel at home. Steak is great, same for all starters. Service it’s not great however, waitress and waiters have a little bit of an attitude — but that’s the Argentinean way…

AMARGENTINEAND I DONTRECOMMENDTHISRESTAURANT! I’m so Sad to say that moo cantina is so mediocre and has such a low standards! The very first time I came here theres a long brown hair in my pancake even now after a year I remember the feeling, it’s disgusting!!! In June this year went there with a couple of friends, a friend ordered white wine, which was room temperature, when she told the waiter HEOFFEREDTOBRINGHERICE!!! Imagine my face thinking mixing wine with ICE!!! Oh dear! All it took was a look for him to forget about such a ridiculous idea! And bring some COLD wine! Food was average. And today 04⁄10 went there to watch the rugby I asked for still water no ice! Someone who seemed to be the manager brought me a glass of water with ice and a bottle with what was left of the water! Don’t you supposed to open the bottle in front of the client? When told I said no ice he took the glass, to my surprise he brought me back the SAMEGLASSWITHTHESAMEWATER but no ice! When asked what did he do with the ice he said he took them out with a tong!!! Obviously I didn’t drink the water!!! Tbh I Had enough!!! Wont be coming back here! Was thinking to celebrate my bday on here but Im just sooo embarrassed to bring friends tbh! Not happy.

Nice place, I had a good time but sadly, they charge almost £7 a half pint of Fernet Branca with Coke(classic argentinean drink), a ripoff

Moo Cantina in Vauxhall Bridge Road, the sister venue to several other Moo venues in London This establishment is literally across the road from where I live, very handy They offer a wide selection of au lent Argentinian steaks, cooked to order with plenty of authentic starters, sides and deserts. If you like steak you’ll like Moo This particular visit coincided with a visit of friends from Manchester who thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambience Plenty if seating inside and also outside. Moo has become a popular watering hole for after workers this summer and is always busy when the suns out

Went on a Tuesday for the #SteakTuesdays and 30% off steak! It was great, we had some empanadas and steak, both were spot on. The sides are great and included in the steak price– we had an amazing dish with scrambled egg, chips, peas and ham– so tasty! It was quiet on the Tuesday night but we went early, and it was full of Argentinians which must be a good thing! Overall nice venue, hidden away a bit and great value for money and extremely good steak.

Delicious food(ordered steak(vacio) and garlic fries(Provenzal fries)), excellent prices, and very warm service. They have a huge patio for outdoor dining, as well. Indoor seating was very comfy.

If I’m being honest, which I am, Moo Cantina should receive 3.5 stars. I’ve decided to round up because I got a good night’s sleep last night and I’m in a reasonably good mood this morning even though I have a headache from the two beers I had(what’s my problem?). To start, this restaurant is located on a very busy road where stopping is not allowed. So if you arrive or depart via taxi, note that you will need to do so on the nearest side road. Next, there are four distinct areas of this restaurant: large patio, restaurant, bar, and lounge. And though the space is large, there is a lack of seating, especially in the bar area. It felt like the bar area had purposely been void of furniture just in case someone wanted to have a dance party. Anyway, our large group of 9 first sat at a long table in the bar but were told that if we wanted food, we would need to sit in the restaurant(note: later on in the evening I saw people sitting at our original bar table eating food). We then moved to the restaurant and some people in our group were not happy sitting in the restaurant, so we then moved to the lounge area which is in the back of the restaurant. Oh, and we originally started on the patio but were forced to move inside when it started spitting down. So, in one visit to Moo, I’ve sat in each of the four areas. The lounge area is the worst part of the restaurant mainly because the seating is uncomfortable and it’s space has been designed for lounging, not eating and we were there to eat(and drink, of course). In the lounge area, there are two low coffee tables with bench seating around the perimeter and short stools around the other sides of the coffee table. Since I arrived at the lounge area last, I was one of the unlucky ones who was forced to sit on a stool and get bumped around all evening by people trying to walk through the lounge area to get to the bar and slump over my knees because the stools did not have backs. Service was slow but friendly. I think your best bet for drinks is to order at the bar and sherpa them back to your table yourself. The food seemed to take forever but I need to remember that we had a large group and that I was starving which always makes it seem like food is taking longer to be delivered than it actually is. To start, we ordered beef empanadas and I was a huge fan but my husband was not. For our main, my husband and I ordered the Moo for Two and the portion size was generous though I am not sure we would have brought half of the second steak home for the dog had it been cooked appropriately. We ordered the steaks medium and one was medium-well while the other was definitely rare. Had we not ordered so late in the evening, we would have sent the steak back but having waited so long and being so famished and also not being able to find anyone to send the steak back with, we just chose to leave it eaten and surprise the dog later. The sausages were good — they were real sausages like with meat and stuff, not those shitty oat-filled sausages they typically serve in England. The sautéed tomato I could have done without and the melted cheese in a fajita-style plate was good but note that the cheese should be eaten first as it hardens as it cools and it’s just not as good after it has hardened. For our sides we ordered fries(not included in the Moo for Two). The main problem that I had with the food was not the food but rather trying to eat the food while seated at what felt like a kiddie table. With the price we paid for our food, it was unfortunate that it was ruined by where some people in our group chose to sit. If I had to do it all over again, I think we’d skip the Moo for Two and order two separate steak(which comes with one side of your choice) and then order a sausage as an additional item. Doing this would reduce our bill by about £10(simply by omitting one sausage, the melted cheese and four small pieces of bread, and side salad). Oh, and I’d still order the empanadas to start because they were delicious. In fact, maybe I would just order the empanadas as a starter, main, and dessert!

It was ok. A little pricey for two chorizo sausages and some grilled peppers with mashed potatoes. Two people at the table next to me ordered the 38 Gbp dinner and were not pleased.

To be honest as much as I want to try all the popular steakhouses in London like Hawksmoor and Goodmans I haven’t been a great steak fan. I always prefered my meat a lot more tender, sweeter and if I had the choice between pork and beef I tend to go for pork. If Moo Grill wasn’t offering a 50% deal to be fair I would not have given the place much attention. The only thing that sparked my eye were the empanadas and lomitos which had a lot of good reviews and I do find mince beef and burgers a little more interesting than a steak as there’s much more you can do with it. From the outside Moo Grill looked like another bar/restaurant place especially standing alone in an empty street but busy main road of Vauxhall Bridge Road. However everything changed upon entering. Although it was a bar I loved the whole Argentinian vibe to it with the bright and multi coloured décor. It looked inviting and warm which was nice to go into when it was cold and wet outside. Staff were very approachable, with a good sense of humour. It was nice to see them interacting with the other customers and having a good time too. Dining as a family of three it gave us a chance to try a bit of everything in the menu. For starters we just had to go for the three empanadas and three each that is. For the mains we went for the chorizopan lomito and the Moo grill for two which had a bit of everything else. I was comfy in my corner sofa and although it was worryingly quiet when we arrived at 7pm it actually became extremely busy once it hit 8pm which by that time our food arrived. The empanadas came in different shapes depending on the filling. I can honestly agree with all the reviews that said these were the best empanadas I have ever eaten too especially the beef and very close to that the sweetcorn and green onions. The ham and cheese was slightly too rich for me, a little on the salty side but it was that pastry that really made the difference. That nice golden crispy edge going into thin and softer layers, the perfect thickness and the pastry having a nice sweetness to it and seasoned well. The beef filling was outstanding, savoury and sweet and packed with flavour. I also love the texture of sweet corn variety, the little burst of sweetness coming through the creamy filling. I was a bit worried when our lomito arrived with a ciabatta bun immediately assuming that it was going to be dry and a bun failure. I blame all these burger reviews I’ve been reading as I could not have been more wrong. After dividing the sandwich into three I felt it wasn’t enough. The bun was actually very light crisp on top and it did the perfect job to hold two generous chorizos. Now they were good, grilled nicely to give that sweet caramelised outing with a good kick of spiced and a nice bite. Sadly I felt the rocket let it down a bit as it wasn’t that fresh that day being slightly overpowering and bitter on this occasion. Still it didn’t hide the fact that this was a decent sandwich. Next came the Moo Grill that was so generous that meat wereoverflowing. Sadly most thing were salty which let it down a bit as we had to fill up on water. However what it didn’t lack was flavour and texture. Everything was cooked perfectly, from the rib eye we requested medium rare to the sausages and sweetbread that were super juicy and tender. From avoiding steak on the menu we all ended up agreeing that the steak was the most impressive piece in the grill. I can’t remember the last time I had a rib eye so tender and succulent where the knife just passes through it effortlessly. Usually I would order a fillet to get that texture but doing that will compensate on flavour which I did not lose out on here. The steak was full of flavour. with a good amount of fat to keep it moist and buttery. The sides were average. I did expect more from the provenzal chips and not just tasteless unseasoned chips served with a garlic, parsley oil dip as nice as the dip was. Mash became very useful in taking the saltiness away with the mains. As it became busy service became slow and that is when we realised they were short on staff when things got busy. Took a while to order desserts but after a wait our crème caramel and caramelised bread pudding did arrive. The crème caramel was definitely more successful, firm, held well and had a lovely smooth creamy texture. Unfortunately the bread pudding tasted bland, a bit dense and I did not enjoy the hard rubbery sticky texture. However with the given caramel sauce on the side it made it more edible. Overall I really enjoyed the experience at Moo Grill and there were some outstanding dishes I would go back for like the empanadas and the steak if they reduce the salt content a little. To be honest I think most of their salt content in their food could be readjusted as it’s definitely not needed when most of their dishes are bursting with flavour. Service was a bit slow at the end but was friendly and those sofas could have had me sitting there all day.
