An hour and a half after ordering and my food still isn’t here. I seriously don’t even care what it’s like when it comes because this is unacceptable. The website says that it’ll take 45 minutes but it took 45 minutes before the food even was on it’s way. I could have walked there and back faster.

I enjoyed a lot my dinner at Mori. The food is tasty and not expensive at all. Unfortunately staff was unfriendly but brought our order fast. They just need to put a smile on their faces and to be more polite with the customers. I recommend this restaurant mostly because of their frozen yoghurt. It’s delicious! My favourite is with Oreo’s

Oh, do not get the udon that they have on the shelf. That’s not even close to the proper texture of udon. Even the cheap grocery packs do a better job. It’s suppose to be soft and chewy not grainy and stiff. The only salvageable part of the meal was the broth, which was what my buddy and I had finished. The rest… I’d rather buy a Cup of Noodles and save myself a bunch of money. Sorry folks, but if you’re looking for wholesome Japanese udon, just pass this place on by. Hate to give it this review not trying the other things, but if they allow these udon cups on their shelves, I can’t imagine what their level of quality would be for their sushi.

I ordered from Mori. They simply forgot my order and had to cancelled it when I called because their driver was gone — now I am hungry on a Friday night with few choices because most other restaurants are closed. I suggest staying away from a place where customer service is non-existent.

Good itsu-esque lunch time spot and free wifi is a bonus too. I don’t think their frozen yogurt is as tart as Snog’s and they don’t have my favourite Mochi topping either but its yummy all the same.

I tried their delivery service and I must say everything was very nice plus they have things such as fresh carrot juice, steamed broccoli and crystal rolls which you won’t find at your usual sushi delivery. I very warmly recommend the spicy tuna sashimi and the cajun chicken crystal rolls.

Tasty Japanese on St John’s Wood high street at a moderate price Like the Itsu that occupied this space befofre it, Mori has a limited selection of Japanese dishes. Everything they do, they do well. They have added a very delicious green curry alongside the Sushi dishes but, alas, no ramen or udon noodle soup. The updated décor is more comfortable. One excellent perk is free wi-fi.

With its menu and simple white décor, this Itsu copy-cat Japanese café offers a selection of salad and sushi boxes, zero-fat fro-you, and even an a la carte sushi menu. Mori also serves hot selections including sea bass, Thai green curries, and Miso Marinated Salmon. I ate the salmon on a bed of sticky rice, and found the portion both generous and rather delicious. The miso soup we ordered was a bit watery and so luke warm that we had to ask the staff to heat it up. My mum specifically requested that I state in this review that she prefers the Itsu soup, so here you go Mum. She is particularly obsessed with Itsu’s vegetarian noodle soup, which I also frequently crave probably due to its high salt content. Mori doesn’t really offer any other soups beside plain olé Miso, which is shame as I am sure they are missing a trick for those comforting winter soup lunch cravings. Also should miso soup really cost £1.95 for a small bowl? It’s probably the cheapest and easiest thing to make. That criticism goes out to the ‘other’ place too. Be aware of the low swinging lamps above the tables, my mum hit her head of one of them as she was leaving. I can’t vouch for the sushi as I didn’t try it but the hot dishes make this a nice change from the restaurant which I have mentioned too many times now and rhymes with ‘Zitsu’. They also kindly provide on each table soy, wasabi and bowls to mix them in which that place doesn’t. However at the end of the day I do prefer ‘Jitsu’ to Mori. Mori is a good lunch spot, that I am sure I will frequent if the chain spreads. I have heard rumours of a branch opening in Marylebone High Street, so I wonder if this place will expand rapidly the way ‘Titsu’ has. Obviously as you have read, it’s impossible to review Mori without mentioning the restaurant it is so clearly modeled on, so I’ll just get it out the way with now unabashedly. Mori is like Itsu, it looks like Itsu, the menu is like Itsu, it has fro-yo like Itsu, it’s ITSU, ITSU, ITSUUUUU…(but not as good).
