Fast service, great food! The girls serving are always polite, quick and remember us! We love the food, I personally love the California Roll, and all their sashimi! Their Ramen is incredible as well, mostly in winter though.

Midweek dinner at this little place, looked promising however, it’s yet another Chinese influenced Japanese restaurant. The spicy edamame beans sounded good, but it’s basically edamame tossed with sriracha sauce, don’t get me wrong, I love sriracha, but this just made the edamame soggy and strange. The fried chicken was the best thing we got out if it, can’t go wrong with fried chicken right? Agesashi tofu was ok, but more chinese flavours. The steak yakitori was below average, chewy, and again, chinese flavours not japanese yakitori. The dragon roll looked impressive when it came out, massive portion, but I’m more a quality over quantity kinda person, so… All in all it was ‘ok’, we didn’t finish everything though… On the upside the sake was nice? And the service ok. Based on food I would give it a 2⁄5. But giving this a 3⁄5 because staff were pleasant

I thoroughly enjoyed my time eating at this restaurant i have been here 3 times so far. We were very tired with the hassle and bustle that one weekend, that we thought anything would do now. I caught a glimpse of this place and thought lets take a chance. I was very glad it was empty. haha. I never judge until i taste. Anyway, we ordered the food with pictures as they looked so mouth wateringly gorgeous!!! We were not disappointed. The food looked the way they did and unlike the pretence of the expensive restaurants i’ve been to, the food was worth for the price. The quantity was just right. I enjoyed the noodles with seafood and fried katsu. I liked the fact that they had descriptive points on the food menu to help us pick and imagine what the food is(most asian restaurants don’t do that!) the photos… OHAMAZINGIDEA… I have no problem with japanese food as i know of them myself but with my partner, it truly helped. We’ve been there quite a few times and have so far tired about 60% of the menu, We look forward to eat there once again. The katsus i would so recommend. as well as the rice box set. the SALMON! AH! heaven… its very soft and mouth watering in the taste buds! so worth to go HONESTLY!

Adventuring to Shepherd’s Bush on a Saturday, we were struggling to find a decent place to eat that didn’t have people queuing outside. We were about to lose all hope, until we came across Mr. Sushi. The restaurant was empty — it was only us and another customer there for the duration of our meal. This can be perceived in two ways: either the food was bad or this place has yet to be discovered by the masses. For us, the food was rather good for the price — it was tastey, well presented and the portion sizes were generous. The interior was in stark contrast to the exterior. Very garish-looking exterior hides the nice wooden interior. The quietness was welcomed after battling through hoards of people just to find a place to eat. The service aspect is rather average. As someone said before, the waitress(there seemed to be only one) looked utterly bored out of her mind and seemed somewhat apathetic towards customers. Overall, I do recommend this place. I have not tried the buffet, so I cannot comment on that aspect. Service is what lets this place down and I hope that improves soon.

I’m not sure if I’ve been lucky or they have a new chef, but I didn’t experience any of the nasty things from previous reviews. Have to say that I didn’t try the buffet but ordered a rainbow roll and a salmon special. Food was nice, fish was fresh and not ‘fishy’ at all. Actually food was at par with some pricier places. Waitress was maybe looking a bit bored as there were almost no customers, but was very polite. Overall a positive experience, especially when comparing to sushi places in this price range. I will definitely come back. Good thing I came here before checking the reviews, or I would not even try it, and would have been a pity.

I’ve become a fan of sushi of late and was soo happy to see an all you can eat buffet open down the road from me. I thought i’d have to try this place out, help this local business if it means keeping this sushi buffet place open. I wish i’d never made the effort. They seem more bothered in taking my money, showed a lack of friendliness and made me leave feeling ripped off. So I went here with my wife to check out the buffet for £16.80. We get told wasted food will be charged at full price. I accepted, but mistakenly ordered a chicken katsu and not the chichen katsu curry(not part of buffet). They do a chicken curry so I asked to add the curry to my current dish as it was mainly rice, and I didnt want more rice. I was told I can’t. I also asked for sushi, along with my wife. They came double the side of what was on the photos, again resulting in lots of rice.(a double wrapping of rice) The chicken katsu actually tasted quite nice, but the poor service, dead atmosphere(no music, just dead silence) and need I mention the rice issue again, I will not be returning and I will not be recommending. I left a BUFFET to go straight to Mc D’s to get a cheeseburger and ice cream. I left with a weird feeling of being full, but not full. I couldn’t stand to eat anymore sticky rice.

I’ve walked past this restaurant a number of times, having it in my sight to try and I’ve always been attracted to the bright signs showing you the different types of sushi, and the canteen look of this place. In hindsight, I wish I had kept walking and hadn’t gone in. The restaurant itself on our visit was a little quiet, which is never a good sign, but it seemed inoffensive and I have to admit I liked the heavy wooden chairs and tables. Undecided and hungry we opted for the buffet menu; unlimited sushi of your choice, as much as you can eat within a two hour time slot for under £20. What could possibly go wrong? We ordered tempura, fried prawns, breaded oysters, Edamame and sashimi salad as our first bout. The prawns and Edamame were absolutely fine, but being presented with a large bowl of tempura, and plate of breaded oysters, we had to struggle through squidgy, anaemic, batter, and having been firmly told that we would be charged for any excess, too many salty oysters, when a smaller plate would have sufficed. We then moved on to a selection of rolls which were also a struggle, with gelatinous rice far out sizing the toppings and centres. California style rolls are always the easiest to make, whilst I expected what we ordered to be more traditional, they came in this style — enough said! We also ordered Sashimi, which you can only have a few per person when ordering from the buffet(others you will be charged for), and I have to say, whilst I suffered no ill effects, the quality of the fish and cut was questionable. I’m usually a great lover of Sashimi, but we only ordered the one portion as I didn’t enjoy the taste. Overall I was really disappointed(can you tell), whilst an art form, it’s not that hard to get basic sushi right, and to be honest I think I’d have preferred picking some up from Tesco to this. My suggestion is to avoid, or spend the extra time on a trip down to Hammersmith, where you will find Suzu, which whilst more expensive, is not only a much better experience, but where you’ll find a much better quality, and tasting offering.
