After eating States-side portions for two weeks, I felt compelled to go on a vegetarian diet. Mrs Marengo’s has some really good options for vegetarian dishes. I had the pasta and eggplant, which was good but not amazing. The service is quick and food decent. I’ll come back since it is one of the most accessible vegetarian around Soho.

I popped in for a quick and simple, hot breakfast(this seems to be a bit of challenge for me so far.) Mrs Marengo’s has a great bill of are for lunch and dinner — for veg’s, vegans and omni’s. I had a veggie sausage link on a wonderful homemade roll with a slice of tomato. Not the most amazing bit to eat, but it is certainly of note and I’m inclined to try it once more. The special Vegan Mock Duck wrap sounded great, and was touted as «really food» by a member of staff. Definitely need to try that one! All in all, a good place to stop in for a quick bit, a cup ‘o joe. Special note — the Vegan Carrot Loaf is AMAZING!!!

This is definitely one of my favourite places for desserts The one I love best is the raspberry truffle cake, and although I’m not a vegan let me just add this cake is vegan cake. And oh yeah it was good, more than enough to get u a sugar high for the rest of the day~ I’m not totally addicted to this place and have to get a piece of cake whenever I pass by~ Next time, I’ll have a coffee as well~

Absolutely delightful vegetarian restaurant + takeaway heaven in the middle of Soho. They update their lunchtime specials on the website at 11.30 every day and you can call in to order and go pick up, where you’ll always be greeted by their cheerful and friendly staff — must be the close access to their deelish chocolate and pecan brownies! The daily salads are all well thought out and they mix it up from day to day to keep the regulars happy. Love this place, great vibe, food and service. Hungry for a brownie now…

I love Mrs Marengo’s, It’s the type of gorgeous cake-shop/lunch spot that I can go with non-vegetarian friends and everyone can go away happy. They have a great ethical food policy regarding where they source their ingredients from, and don’t make you feel as though you are a nuisance for asking. There are vegan and wheat-free options and everything is clearly marked, and it all is so lush, colourful, gorgeous. Best of all, they don’t only serve cakes, there is a delicious breakfast/lunch menu so if you are hungry you can eat something more than cake. It’s my first cake spot every time.

I came to Mrs Marengo’s on a mission: I wanted something sweet, served on a plate, that was both vegan AND soy-free. This is a difficult feat, especially in central London. And not, say, in my own kitchen, where I can conjure up something unique and cake-like. Lady Marengo ALMOST delivered. I had a slice of their fruit and nut bar… it was fruity. And nutty. And topped with seeds. I felt so healthy afterwards, that I didn’t even realise I had eaten«dessert». But all their more decadent options were too milky or eggy or soy-y for me to enjoy. Ah well. My life. Still, an absolutely ADORABLE café. I’d love to stop by for lunch sometime, as the smells coming from the kitchen were immense. And I’ve had dinner at their partner restaurant, Mildred’s — if that’s anything to go by, I bet it’s wonderful.

Mrs Marengo’s is a tiny vegetarian café that serves up huge flavours. I got the vegetarian burger of the day with a side of sweet chips. I also ordered a slice of gluten-free chocolate raspberry cake for dessert, so ravenous I was at the time I ordered everything. After two bites, one from the totally nom-able burger and one from the tender-yet-crispy sweet chips, I was in vegetarian nirvana. I tried my best to polish off the massive lunch plate, and it soon became apparent that dessert was going to be a wash out. I had to have the cake boxed up to take away, head hung in shame, a failure at luncheoning.

Mushrooms seasoned well, presentation a delight and eggs scrambled beautifully, along with delicious spinach and strong smooth coffee. M. R. Jnr would have been proud. Have an excellent start to the day with a breakfast feast to keep you going well into, well, mid morning at the very least(when you’ll just want any excuse to come back for more, maybe something a little sweeter see the pictures and previous reviews for what might be in store in that direction). Very friendly and welcoming, attentive service with a genuine smile. Excellent. Recommended.

Yummy yummy yummy! I recommend the char grilled quesadilla. Coffee is good and the portions are well sized to match the price. Fancy cupcakes and frozen yoghurt too.

I made plans to meet a friend for lunch at Mildreds today but, arriving early once, took a wander further up Lexington Street to pass the time looking in windows and came across the delighful Mrs Marengo’s. Brighter and more cheerful looking than Mildreds and serving many of the same sorts of dishes for less money, it was well worth a tryand boy did it deliver. I was in need of serious refreshment after a night on the tiles and was happy to discover the spaghetti could be served vegan(everything is vegetarian and there are numerous vegan options too). I couldn’t resist a side order of butterbean and sundried tomato salad after witnessing the glorious heaped bowls of different salad mixtures on the counter, and though it was possibly a bit too much food for me to eat I did my best, safe in the knowledge it was super healthy and absolutely delicious. I wish I’d had room for some cake — there were at least two vegan desserts on offer and plenty of amazing looking veggie cakes. I’d definitely pop in for cake and coffee some time — they serve Monmouth of course, yum! — and after receiving such happy, friendly service at Mrs Marengos I’m not sure I’ll ever have to go back to Mildreds and its rude staffduring the day anyway. Hurrah!

We were going to go to Mildred but this place being next door and the fact I hadn’t been there made me push my friends through the door and towards the heaving counter of deli delights. This place is a version of Mildreds in the way that it is veggie and that it serves the AMAZING sweet potato wedges but they sell themselves differently. They are a ‘fast food’ place that means you can grab some lunch and take away or sit on the high stools and enjoys a restful lunch with speed. The only thing I will moan about is the price of the drinks, I’m willing to pay a lot for food but when it comes to drink — fizzy water should not be that pricey.

I was delighted to find this wonderful little café. I love all things sweet so one look at Mrs Marengo’s and there was no going back! It’s a vegetarian café that also serves fantastic coffee, delicious and hearty breakfasts, and some of the best cakes I’ve ever seen and tasted. I sampled a slice of Victoria sponge with a nice cup of tea and I was happy for the rest of the day! The soups also looked lovely and I even took away a few pieces of the butterfly cake for my housemate. The place is rather small so it can be tricky to get a seat but it really is a gem of a café.

I could just live with sugar so when ever I spot a new café with cakes on the window — I just walk in. I was so happy to find out this café is actually just vegetarian, they also do breakfast, soups and the specialty seems to be the crispy sweet potato fries! Oh how cute is that? and yeah the tempting cakes. I picked a butterfly chocolate one, and it was really mmm good. The café/restaurant mostly works as take a away as the place is so tiny. I really do hope this place becomes a success as everything feels so home made, caring and right.

Sooooo excited about finding this place! It’s a vegetarian café that also does great coffee, scrumptious breakfasts, and some of the best cakes I’ve ever tasted. What else does a veggie cake munching girl who thinks breakfast is her favourite meal of the day and loves to wash everything down with a good(but weak) cup of coffee want? Brilliant place in a brilliant location and just top notch food. The soups looked wholesome, hearty and yummy, and I’ll definitely be going back to check them out. I ate the lemon meringue pie which was just about up there with the one my mum used to make and that’s saying something! Superb. Chocolate butterfly cake was pretty good too and took me back to all those kiddie parties back in the day All in all a fab place and a great name too.

A delight for vegetarians, Mrs Marengo’s is rapidly becoming a Soho sensation. An offshoot of Mildred’s(the vegetarian restaurant a couple of doors away on Lexington St), Mrs Marengo’s specialises in hearty breakfasts, light lunches and cakes. I mean CAKES! Really amazing cakes! Meringues tower tall, gateaux glint with silky dark chocolate, tarts glisten with luscious berries. I haven’t yet ploughed my way through the flap jacks and other ‘cakelets’, but as soon as my arteries and blood sugar allow, I will! They also srerve fabulous coffee here. Service isn’t the speediest, but at this quality I don’t mind. Prices are reasonable for this part of town, under £5 for a cappucino and a breakfast bap with egg and two vegetarian sausages and brown sauce.
