Avoid. I’ve recently gotten a job that involves wearing a suit, a novelty for me. I’ve been sampling dry cleaners in the neighbourhood with mostly good experiences. The experience at Nicolas was the worst by a country mile. As another reviewer wrote it’s filthy and the owner smokes rollies in the shop all day, but I would not have cared enough to write a review if the service had been half decent. I dropped off the suit on Saturday and was told it would be fine to pick up any time Monday. On Monday I came in at 6pm and was told to come in later in the evening as it wasn’t there yet. I had a date and the shop closed at 7pm so I came back on Tuesday. On Tuesday I waited around for 15 minutes while the owner dug around looking for it. He invited me to look through the racks (only about 20 items on it). Walking over I spotted my suit in a pile of fabric on a counter, it had not been cleaned. He told me to come back on Wednesday. I came back Wednesday at 5.30pm, the shop was shut with no explanation. On Thursday I finally got my suit, but the owner did not have £1.50 in change so I had to wait several minutes while he got change from another shop. Enormous waste of time and lucky that it was not my only suit.

The worst shop I have ever been too. The shop is small and the owner smokes in it all day long. I ordered a suit and whenever we had an appointment for a fitting he was never ready. He said that everything will be done by hand, but that wasn’t the truth as a high end tailor from the west-​end told me some time after my suit was finished. Overall I was very unsatisfied with the result as I was told to get a 100% Handmade Savile Row Suit.
