Dirty hallways, iron burns on the carpet and(unknown!) hairs on the ‘freshly’ made beds. I get that London is expensive, but not quite what I’d expect for the equivalent of $ 300USD a night. No thanks. Go stay at the Princes Square in Bayswater instead.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my family. Loved it! Yes the rooms are small. so what all rooms are small in Europe. The front staff was amazing. Soo helpful. The girls in the morning were soo nice and accomodating, entire staff very friendly. Bar downstairs, a little quirky, but fine to have a drink or 2. Overall good experience.

Like Louie mentioned, Paddington is within a short walking distance from this hotel. The entrance and lobby are nice looking, and new. The people at the front desk are nice, although not quick to help. There is free wifi, and make sure to ask for the code before going up to your room. The elevator is a total nightmare, though! There’s a sign that says 1 person + luggage, or 2 people, no luggage. It is SLOW, slow, slow! I lost my flight because I kept pressing the call button and it would not come up to the second floor… it just kept going to other floors. Forget about using the stairs if you have luggage, because they hide behind halls and doors, and the steps are wobbly, uneven, and luggage won’t fit through the halls. There are many random doors throughout the halls that are pointless and hinder your walking through, especially with luggage. The room itself isn’t that small… word to the traveler, as an European myself, rooms in Europe are NOT big, like in America, so don’t whine about rooms being too small. That being said, the floor was REALLY uneven and noisy. The walls were somewhat clean, but the wallpaper covered holes and was peeling(look at pictures). The beds were clean, but because the heater did not work properly and there was a very cold breeze coming in through the(closed) window, it needed blankets. I called the front desk twice about it, but they never brought them up. Non-British travelers, the toilet is tricky: half-flush, then quickly fully flush the toilet! Just saying!!! The water pressure and temperature were very good, as it was cold, both inside and out, and warm/hot water was VERY welcomed. Towels were clean, toilet was clean, beds were made daily, TV worked(turn it on via nightside table). The door lock looked broken from the inside, and you better lock it from the inside once you’re inside your room. Breakfast was included, and bountiful: cereals, toast, croissants, coffee, juices, ham, cheese, jams, butter, etc. There is a traditional English breakfast for an extra 4 pounds. The workers, however, weren’t that nice, and they always sat us at the smallest table, in the middle of the walkway. Overall, the area was good, you have buses, taxis and Paddington station right there, there are many restaurants around, so it was a good, albeit THRIFTY, buy. I recommend it for those who don’t want to spend a lot of money staying in London; it has its own bathroom(which isn’t common), and it has clean beds… so yea!

A few friends and I stayed here March 2007 while traveling to Europe from the United States. For those flying into Heathrow, Norfolk Towers is literally about a block from Paddington Station — a major plus. There is also a bus stop immediately outside the hotel as well. Though the rooms are on the small side, they were clean and perfect for traveling college students looking to save a few quid. At the time, the rate was one of the cheapest around at about £89.00. For the price, it definitely beats having to stay in a hostel with community facilities. The hotel is a little shy on amenities, though the rooms had a TV with basic cable and there is a pub downstairs in the basement. Service was standard, with nothing that really stood out — good or bad.
