My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Odette’s. When I had originally booked the reservation, I must have mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary in the comment section of the booking. We both enjoyed an AMAZING tasting course with wine pairing. At the finish, the chef had taken the time to write«happy anniversary» in chocolate on our dessert plates. The service staff was EXCEPTIONAL and the food was fantastic. They put a lot of love and thought into everything they do and it shows. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant — Especially if you’re a foodie and/or a wine-lover.

Lively French Restaurant tucked away next to Primrose Hill, perfect for a romantic evening… The menu changes weekly making sure that every-time you visit is is a different experience. The produced and combinations are fresh! The staff true fresh, formal and efficient. They know the menu very well and make suggestions if asked. This is one of my favourite restaurants, the location feels kore village than city and it never gets overly busy! Perfect for a romantic dinner!

Just back from a great night @ Odettes; food was superb, beautifully presented and altogether delicious… Now the downside… 10 mins wait for our first drink not good! Service in general average at best– I don’t want fawning or smarmy, I just want somebody to acknowledge my existence! Please get some decent waiters, your food is great!

Just great food and lovely ambience. Perfect for couples or celebrating. the location means you stay clear of all the suits trying to impress their business colleagues. Bryn Williams really knows his stuff. Food is complex but not pretentious. The emphasis is on taste. Really great vegetarian tasting menu, they have actually made an effort instead of just doing a lazy risotto.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. We chose to have the set lunch menu a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely delicious. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Love the newly renovated garden space, perfect for a private function. Now owned by Welsh chef Bryn Williams, he prides himself on using Welsh produce and local. If you’ve never been, do yourself a favour & treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Ricky Gervais was eating here at the same time as us last Saturday. I’ll leave it to Qypers to decide whether this is a good sign or not! Anyway, we’d booked a table for 2 on our way back to Wales from London. Turning up 15 minutes early was not a problem and our luggage was taken to the office for safekeeping. The service was, on the whole, unobtrusive and efficient. Odette’s is smaller than I’d imagined — high-ceilinged and a little bit dark and romantic but with space on the pavement outside for diners too. We both had the starter and main from the set lunch menu(£20 for 2 courses) — cured salmon with radish, ginger and creamy wasabi to start, then confit mutton with black olive gnocchi, aubergine purée and a small panful of gravy. Presentation was second to none, though the salmon was a little on the bland side and the portion sizes were wildly different(my partner got the short straw). I then had tiramisu with blood orange and toasted marshmallow. I was a bit disappointed that the tiramisu I’d had at Jamie’s Italian the previous week was much better! The orange and marshmallow added nothing to the dish. He had pistachio and apple cake. We had a lovely bottle of Argentinian sauvignon blanc and the bill, inc. service, came to £91. So overall, really worth a visit but if it’s a Michelin star Bryn is after, I think the food needs to pack a bit more of a punch(admittedly, I only tried the set menu but the point still stands). Otherwise great.

Went for a 2 course meal in Odette last Friday and left feeling robbed. Whilst the starter(the langoustines) was very fine and well presented, the turbot(supposedly, the Queen’s favourite — don’t go for it!) was an utter disappointment. The service was contrived and attending staff was polite but very impersonal with us. We went for Chablis as our accompanying wine. It was poor considering its price(£23 for half a bottle) and not chilled when we first tried it. All in all, will probably not go again, considering the astronomical bill we got for not a great overall experience.

A nice room, but we should have left when the manager refused to turn down the(bad) dance music he was playing. Amuse-bouche and starters were fine, but £18 for a tiny square of polenta as a main course was insulting, and the rabbit was a small handful of meat, indifferently cooked — too little for a starter and a joke as a £20 main. We left so hungry we had to go to a second restaurant. This place clearly thinks it should have a Michelin star. I felt robbed.

What do you do when your old colleague is visiting from sunny socal and has an expense account? :quickly searches for Odette’s number on ancient Nokia candy bar phone… conveniently and surprisingly equipped with wifi: Reservations for 8:30p, CHECK. I’m just going to list the dishes we had because there’s nothing else you really need. Oxtail lasagna, scallops and chicken wings, pan fried halibut with braised baby gems and carrot purée, pan fried turbot with braised oxtail and cockles, and cinnamon crème brûlée with apple sorbet. Let’s not forget that wafer-thin slice of amazing apple chip fantastically dividing that dessert for us to share. Also, as much of a Destiny’s Child Independant whoa-man I am, I still love it when waiters put my coat on for me. Swoon over French waiters. GO.THERE.NOW. And all this plus a glass of wine each for £90 is pretty spiritual for me.

We went to Odette’s as part of our monthly supper club and everyone loved it. It’s perfectly attuned with the Primrose Hill neighborhood. Upon walking in, the interiors are just fabulous — Black & white dramatic print wallpaper that is punctuated with bright yellow chairs. The restaurant placed us in our own room and was very attentive. The food was very tasty — I enjoyed the turbot and braised ox tail. I will definitely visit again.

I stumbled upon Odette’s by pure luck today, and had a wonderful outdoors dinner in this beautiful restaurant in the lovely setting of Regent’s Park road in the Primrose Hill area. Given it was 6.30PM we could order the«lunch or early dinner» set menu which, at £12 for two courses or £16 for three offers incredibly good value. I had a wonderful oxtail terrine, followed by the most perfect pork belly I’ve ever had and a tasty ending with blue cheese, poached pears celery and walnut. In the meanwhile my friend had a delicious sea bass with orange, beetroot and fennel and a very good ice cream and sorbetti selection. Fantastic mustard bread at the beginning, Kasteel beer(a treat from Alsace) and lukum-like complimentary sweets to finish the meal. Modern british food at its best, I’ll be back even if the normal menu is relatively expensive: I’m sure it’s with good reason. There is a tasting menu for £60 which our neighbours seemed to enjoy a lot.

This is a star of a place. Chef Bryn Williams is knocking out truly wonderful food. His Welsh lamb dishes are a must try. Plenty of very good fish dishes too. Presentation is pushing for a Michelin star. Menu can be pricey, though an early evening set price is very reasonable. Service, brisk and courteous, if slightly cold. Booking is a definite for busier nights.

Slightly plusch and slightly tacky, which I personally like, the food is good, if not very good. Not for everyday, but always a pleasure

One of my local restaurants, not cheap but superb food. Some people say the portions are too small, but the perfect amount for me to able to have 3 courses. Set menu, bar downstairs which serves, light lunch/tapas. Great in the summer for people-watching if you bag a table outside for lunch.

FAB place for a girls lunch. We’ve been there twice and just love the banquette at the back, although bring your sunglasses in the summer. The jelly and ice cream is just to die for!

Their set lunch is excellent value– £17.95 for a two course menu, which comes with an amuse bouche, petits fours and delicious artisan breads. I went for an early lunch this week with my mum(her treat) and had the seared halibut with puy lentils and pancetta to start, and the confit of duck as a main course. The halibut was beautiful and probably large enough to have had as a main dish and the duck was delicious– the meat was cooked to perfection with a light, crispy skin and a rich, fruity gravy. The food is delicious though I am always a bit put off by the restaurant’s atmosphere. It is quite fussy and gaudy– the décor is very extravagant and grand, maybe even a bit naf. There is a cocktail/wine bar downstairs and the I feel it important to mention the toilets– they are great.

Godd restaurant on Regents Park Road. The service, the food(european), the wine and the décor is all really good! The portions can be quite small and some of the things are a bit overpriced. They do great desserts and cheese platters. Very romantic. Book ahead.
