Cleaner and nicer after a recent refurb and no more smells! Drinks are just as cheap and the food seems to have improved as well.

From the outside, this looks like an old bloke’s pub and quite often you see some of them have a smoke outside. Like the outside, the interior also has an old fashioned feel to it. The prices are cheap especially on the ale which start at £2.15 a pint which is definitely below the London average. The clientele on the other side can seem intimidating to newcomers and some of them are not exactly the most clean, which can be outputting to many in general. There is a beer garden out back which is best suited for those summery days.

It’s a big place with lots of character but it also smells like piss. I don’t really have an astute nose, but kept picking up hints of urine in the general main room. Then I went to the restroom. Holy wee. It’s as if the urinals all drained into a giant, warm underground lake of pee pee, the essence of which rises up through the pipes and back into the pub. Everything else about the place was o.k.(though kinda aged in spirit and patrons). But I can’t ignore the scent.

Great pub. Cheapest in Kilburn. Friendly staff, although beer is cheap it does not lack quality. Big beer garden too. Always shows the footy, what more can a bloke ask for. Great food prices too, loads of special offers.

It’s true this pub caters to the locals here, but isn’t that what you want? Plenty of Irish expats here, and the best pint of Guinness in all of London because so much of it is drunken here. Also, the cheapest pint anywhere. Bathrooms are a bit dirty and the food is middle of the road, standard pub grub.

A pleasant enough pub which has good facilities for a night in the boozer watching the footy. The beer is cheap; which is a rarity in London, and the food is pretty good too. It’s a great place to chill out at in the summer if you’re in the area with its sizeable beer garden but there are better pubs in the area.
