Finally a Caribbean restaurant in Chadwell Heath — well — past Ilford full stop is impressive! It’s been open for a little under a year now and I only had the pleasure of trying it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I like the food so much in the last month I’ve had takeaway twice, eaten in once and recommended them to cater for a friends party! The food is amazing. Sharona is very friendly and the atmosphere is what you might expect for a Caribbean takeaway location. Yes you might have the good old banter of «have you got — — - -?» «no», «have you got — — - -?» «no» etc. but that’s a standard character of West Indian food places, isn’t it? Once you do get fed you will be feasting on beautiful stew chicken, flavoursome ackee and saltfish, heavenly escovitch fish, wholesome callaloo and more. When you’re done — wash it down with a nice glass of Guinness Punch. Beautiful.
