My recent holiday in Thailand has perhaps coloured the culinary prowess of this establishment. The ingredients were all wrong and the service wasn’t up to scratch for a rather quiet evening. Harrumph! I had Tom Yum soup, it had whole, white, English mushrooms in it. They were jauntily bobbing around every time I dipped my spoon into it. Noooo! Green curry had perhaps two coriander leaves in it, some sliced courgette and rather over-cooked carrot slices. It was creamy and tasted of Thai curry; there was chicken(I’d ordered that) and some slivers of lemongrass. It wasn’t a patch on the stuff I ate in a grass hut in Thailand 2 weeks ago. I’ve had great Thai food in London before. I’m not sure what’s gone wrong at O’s? Pity

The service is better than the food– but that said, the service is outstanding. The food is nice but a little uninspired. Would be happy to go back but I won’t be rushing to.

O’s in Crouch End has long been a favourite of mine, whether for a sit-down meal or a takeaway at home. The food is consistently excellent and well priced, and they do a lunch deal to knock your socks off. Service is good, the toilets are fine and you’re never made to feel unwelcome. It does get busy though, particularly weekend evenings, so it’s wise to book in advance before coming you won’t regret it.

We had a take away from O’s Café a week ago and the food was average at best. My skills in the kitchen are basic but I could’ve created a tastier Tom Yum Soup than the one we were given. Also there were only two prawns in there which seemed a little tight. Come on guys

I went to O’s Thai Café today at lunchtime, the service was brilliant, very fast and attentive. I had the Pad Khing and my friend has the Pad Thai, we both had bean curd and it was beautifully flavoured, the veg in my dish were still nice, colourful and crunchy. For dessert I had the icecream with fruit, the idea of adding lychee was genius. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended

Deliciously lovely Thai food presented in a modern way. Very very quick service and at a good price. Not a place for a long drawn out meal though as you do feel you need to eat and go.

The O’s Thai Café boasts a good and well made selection of Thai food. The staff are outgoing, friendly and being a relatively small restaurant they are quick to serve you throughout your meal. If you like Thai food then you are going to like everything on the menu but some of the most delectable are without a doubt, the pad thai with king prawns served with a pinch of salt, almonds, lemon and chilli spice to sprinkle on top. In addition the red thai curry must be tried on your first or second or third — you just wont stop coming back for more! They also have range of wines and beers to suit every drinkers pallet. Singha a Thai brewed beer is sold and must be tried… All in all, O’s Thai café can suit every occassion, whether it is your birthday, a family night out or most suitably for a date. The white painted room is decorated tastefully and illuminated by dim down lighters and fairy lights and there is not the sense that you are crammed in with a load of customers. Friday and Saturday are busy nights so book in advance. Enjoy!
