Suberb place for a quick lunch during the week. They have a takeaway counter with sandwiches, pasta and whole pizzas for a fiver as well as a large number of tables indoors and outside(although right by the road). Service is hyper efficient and we had three people ask for drink orders within five minutes of us sitting down as well as the owner/manager checking on us when we started eating :-) If you want fast, reasonably priced, plentiful Italian food then there is not much better in the vicinity of St Pauls.

A friend and I met outside a neighbouring Pizza Express with a 2 for 1 voucher for lunch. Upon realising that we were not that hungry we went looking for a coffee to have a work break chat over. With a welcoming undercover forecourt below street level which we could smoke under and a very welcoming man directing us to a table we sat down for a cigerette whilst browsing the menu and the food other diners had on the numberous outside tables. Somehow I left £6.95 lighter after a bottle of lucozade and a wonderful veggie pasta penne dish which offered excellent value for money. My friend’s coffee was enjoyed, but the panini containing pesto, parma ham and cheese was lovely she said. For a couple of people who weren’t hungry we enjoyed our first trip to Ossie’s express. I cant say that it wont be the last as the waiting staff are attentive, the wait for food was not longer than 5 or 6 minutes and this places offers good value for money. What more do you want at lunchtime at Ludgate Circus, by St. Pauls and City Thameslink? Nothing, which would explain why there was not a seat available inside during our visit to this popular eatery.
