I am a happy woman. Give me vodka, eggs and maple syrup and you can’t go wrong. What more do you need to know, really? _________________________________________________ *Actually surprisingly good service. *Good and reasonably priced food. *An interesting non-brunch menu otherwise. *A full bar. *And helpful bar staff who immediately called out to my companion to ask if he needed anything when he turned around to peruse the selection of bottled beers from his chair at our table. Full marks for that. *Cool, laid-back atmosphere Oh yeah, and I think they do 2−4−1 happy hour every night. Fuckin’ sweet.

Very nice place. went there to get a good meal and was very pleased with the food. Great burger served with well made buns and goods thin fries. Staff was nice and friendly, with a casual touch that i like.

Out of the Blue tries(and succeeds 90% of the time) to be everything to everyone. The outside has a few tables, the front asks as a bar /pub, and the back, with it’s mish-mash of chairs and steamy temperature acts as the formal dining room. You’ll often find a disparate group of locals in there — whether a group of yummy-mummy’s(and daddies) or the young 20’s clapham kids, there’s a bit of something for everyone. The menu is the same with good to great«tapas» from around the world — taquitos, mezze plates, moules frites, African curries, bbq ribs, etc. I’ve rarely tried the mains as the tapas are so fun and you can get more for less $$. However, the hamburger is a consistent crowd pleaser. The wine list reflects a similar global sensibility and includes a number of decent, reasonably priced bottles. Having brought visiting Americans, Aussie’s, South Africans, Brazilians, Colombians, Italians and the odd Canadian with enthusiastic praise lauded by all, I recommend you stopping by for a visit.

Out of the Blue is siyuated on the up and coming area of st johns hill heading towards wandsworth in an area where it has to fight for competition for customers from all the other new bars and restaurants alnog this stretch. But it seems to have tailored itself quite well as it has lasted longer than many others like it round here. It has a rather cosy atmosphere inside with an array of differing styles of tables and chairs but they are laid out so even when busy you dont feel like everyone is on top of each other. They have a commendable range of drinks and the menu is great for lunches or evening snacks. Although last time I ate I have the tuna sandwich which was more of a tuna melt and had A LOT of mayonnaise in that it made me feel a bit sick. But everyone elses food was great and very well priced(Its around 6 pound for a sandwich) and the staff are absolutely lovely.

I treated a very large group of friends to Out of the Blue Bar and Kitchen on my last birthday and from what I can remember it was a really great experience-especially as my group was very well looked after. In short the restaurant offers food and alcohol from all over the world in a really relaxed setting with excellent service for which I gave a huge tip. The reason why I am discussing with you-is because I am not the most decisive person when it comes to ordering food or dealing with a large group. I tend to find that I will narrow down my choice to dishes that either I am familiar with and have eaten before or focussing on the ingredients and making my choice that way. At times in some places where the menus are so awful I have chosen randomly under pressure from the waiter waiting to take the order. So in my opinion having eaten in this place I feel comfortable and like it –therefore highly recommend it to anyone who feels the way I do sometimes.
