Oval Quality Cleaners

Have used this dry cleaner twice now — once for a coat and once for an expensive wool suit. Both items were well cleaned and pressed — they haven’t shrunk and there was no damage to the buttons on the coat (problems I have experinced with City based dry cleaners). Very pleased with the service and very reasonable priced. I will definitely use them again.
I have knocked a point off for late completion of the suit — was ready for collection late in the afternoon, however, the ticket suggested collection at any point on the day and I hadn’t been told afternoon collection only (didn’t enjoy two trips in the rain!). Would ensure plenty of time is given for cleaning — they always seem busy.

I really want to like this place, because it’s long-​established, and a family run business I believe, just down the road, but I had a very strange experience with the owner which completely put me off.
I lugged two sets of curtains up there on a Saturday afternoon to see if they could take them up, by quite a considerable amount. They had done this for me before with really nice results.
I spoke with the old Greek chap, who runs the place. He looked at me like I was barmy and essentially asked if I was insulting his tailoring skills. He said that kind of work is ‘women’s work’, it’s too simple for him, it’s the sort of thing women should be doing [pointing at me].
I started giggling because I was sure he was taking the mick, but he wasn’t, and repeated it a couple of times.
Once I realised he was just being plain rude and didn’t want my custom, I slowly backed out of the door and got on my way.
Never again.
