We fancied a relaxed Friday night so rang and reserved a table at midday for 8.30pm(it is always full so best to reserve). Greeted by smiling and welcoming staff who are all eager to please. We chose a mixture of starters and dishes to share and all of them were fantastic. Waiters were attentive and professional. The head waiter then came over to say hello and said that he hadn’t seen us before so offered us a welcome drink on the house. Fantastic staff, tasty food and lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Beware!!! Have heard a lot about this place. Have returned twice since there was no place and waiting for 1 hour was impossible. The third time when I tried reserving a table, they turned me down saying that they don’t take reservations on weekends. Ridiculous!!! This place is always full and you don’t get to know the system at all. Weirdest of all!!!

Great Indian spot in a beautiful neighborhood. The Channah Masala was especially great. Pretty packed on a Saturday night at 1030pm but seated promptly. And food was quick and cheap. Service was exceptional, free drink and chocolates offered at the end of the meal

A Thursday evening stroll, exploring our new neighborhood found us outside Paradise, a little past the dinner hour, hungry we took a chance on a seating with no booking. What a happy and serendipitous experience. We were met by the most gracious host who went out of his way to make it possible for us to enjoy this establishment without feeling guilty about making prior arrangements. A comfortable environment, you have an ultimate neighborhood feel without the judgement. Nice white linen tablecloths add a nice touch. The food is exquisite as well. The lamb tikka masala was tender and flavor filled accompanied with yellow rice. The Vindaloo with chicken, delicious, with just right amount of fire. Garlic and plain naan added to the treat. A Kingfisher washed it all down so smoothly and an after dinner brandy topped it off. I am selfishly conflicted about this posting. Discovering this wonderful dining experience I want to keep the secret all to myself. Yes we definitely will be back and with a proper booking.

Best saag paneer I’ve had. Wandered in on Monday evening and was shocked they were so full. At least 1⁄3 were obviously regulars. Live sitar music. Very friendly staff. Great food.

This place is not just an amazing restaurant but a fantastic dining experience. This review is way overdue because this has become our go-to spot for a nice evening out, the perfect spot to bring my mother-in-law and any visiting guests because I know the evening will be perfect. The host is a complete professional who I think is probably a genius because he knows each and every one of his ‘guests’. I was quite surprised on our 2nd visit when he remembered my partner and I, knew where we sat and what we had ordered. I thought it was a fluke but then time and time again, he remembers all of these details… and it’s not just us-he has this relationship with everyone. I am really in awe of him. Now, for the food! Wow, just wonderful and very reasonable especially if you consider we’re in Hampstead. We always order the Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan and they are always perfect. I don’t even think my review is even close to serving this place justice. Just GO and see for yourself. Make sure to make a reservation a few days ahead of time because they are always booked out. I guarantee a great evening!

I don’t think you’ll find a better place for delicious authentic curry that values service and quality of food above anything else! Relaxing candlelit décor, with the concertina doors open for summer allowing the warm summer breeze to slip in as you tuck into delicately spiced dishes. I will definitely, definitely return soon!

Eaten here many times, food has always been great, I love curries and Indian food in general, and this is up there with the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to(and I’ve been to a lot), staff are also very welcoming, knowledgable and friendly. Just go if you can.

Amazing restaurant! Its the best Indian food I’ve had in the UK or US! Delicious food, appealing décor, clean environment, and excellent customer service. We had a great time. I am looking forward to my next trip to London just for a chance to eat at Paradise Hampstead again!

a warm welcome, consistent, good value, with take-away as good as eating in. never had a bad meal from them(in 5 years). there’s a very good reason they recently celebrated having been there for 40 years. love it.

Went on Saturday night and haing booked was shown directly to our table. Drinks were offered, ordered and quickly served, then starters, mains and poppadums! The starters were good and the chicken tikka cubes were moist and served with a nice sauce. My main dish was lamb korai, for the mix of spcies & described as ‘medium hot’. Having been brought by a Pakistani family(more or less — long story) from the age of 3 years to 6 I like a lot of heat in my ‘Indian’ food. I asked for the heat to be increased to ‘Madras’ and yet I still found it didn’t quite hit the sweet spot! It was indeed good though, with everything made fresh(rather then from a glass jar with Pataks on it!). The chapathi was good as was the rice. Our friends, really enjoyed it — we knoew that to go to the more specialist Indian restaurants would not suit their palettes but this was good and they really enjoyed it! I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone looking to try a more authentic Indian, where the food is freshly made and the price is adequate — including, wine, beer(lots of it!) water — £35 per head

Although the food is lovely, I can only give this place 3 stars because the staff are so dire. We wasted away waiting for our poppadums, until realising that you had to ORDER poppadums(since when??), and then when we mentioned to our waiter that it’s usual for indian restaurants to offer poppadums as complimentary, he told us we were wrong… what happened to ‘the customer is always right’, huh? Then they brought our main course before we were finished with our starters, and you practically had to stand of your chair and flap your arms about to get the waiter’s attention. Great food, but spoilt by the service…
