Pause

Erm…
So I’m going to do my best to review Pause, because frankly I was battered when I got here, and annihilated when I left.
In my defence, I was having a particularly bad day and for some reason used that as an excuse to get blotto.
Will have to review in bullet points, which erm. obviously just because its the most efficient way to review, right?!
a) Leadenhall St, good location, central and close to tube station, lets start with that.
b) Managers also allowed my b’day party peeps to create their own signature cocktails which was very nice of them
c) Good sized bar, with plenty of room to bust some moves out/​stumble drunkenly across the dance floor.
d)Great name…
e) Oh, a «con» point, apparently the in-​house DJ didnt turn up so they had to make do with using someone’s iPhone — #FAIL
f) Nice sexy City décor, cue leather seats, low lights, square seats/​cushions, loads of mirrors.
g) Large capacity bar so good for big parties.
h) Ooh, good selection drinks and whisky, namely Ardbeg which I allegedly sank a few of on the night in question.
So in conclusion, good bar, have been back since, will probably go again :)

Average city bar (happened to be in the area). Bar staff are friendly, but not the best service. All in all, nothing really special to rave about, but if you’re looking for a place to quench your thirst — it does the job.

I had a great time here. The drinks we had were strong and they were just kept coming to our table. The atmosphere was relaxing and the place is perfect for a quality chill after work.

There’s nothing exciting about Pause but if you fancy a drink away from the crowds it’s fine. Not really a summer venue as it gets a bit sweaty and disgusting.

Went here recently for post work drinks/​friends birthday. I quite liked it… But i definitely had quite a bit of alcohol in my body which could’ve tainted my opinion! you see from 5−7pm everyday they have a great cocktail happy hour. It’s very popular as you can imagine so you may have to elbow your way to the front of the bar. But the cocktails are good!
Good place to start off a big night aswell.

Happy hour (HH) is really the best hour. 50% off bottles of wine, cheap cocktails. but really can’t see it being much more than that.
They messed up my area/​table booking, giving it to another group with the same name. They saved their asses by giving me another area, otherwise I would’ve been thoroughly angry. I suggest giving first and last, or at least giving some absurdly unique moniker.

Hard to rate. Ok it’s a generic city bar with a ‘modern’ look. Think cube leather stools and banquettes. It’s in a basement so it is dark.
However, it has the most amazing cocktail happy hour fro 5 – 7 everyday. I rate it as having some of the best cocktails in London. They do a great job. £3 between 5 and 7pm. Also half price bottles of wine which are a bargain purchase at 18.55.
They do food and stuff too. Sister bars Patch & Clause do the same deal
