Normally appearance is everything to me, but here is a little gem that deliver much more than meets the eye from the outside! This shop stock amazing delicatessens for VEGANS! They have a big selection of raw food but also combinations that I have not seen in any other shop. They also stock pre made foods and salads. What makes this extra special is that it specifically is crafted for the needs of non-meat eaters… Yes they also stock organic gluten products for the weak once ;-) Definitely worth a stop when you are in the area!

A really good variety of stock and occasionally some bargains. Not as expensive as some wholefood stores and way cooler than H&B,(obviously).

LOVE this little health shop in West Hampstead that makes me feel like I’m back in my little granola hippie town in Northern California… Peppercorns has so much under one roof, I don’t know how they do it! So don’t be turned away by it’s itty bitty size, there is actually quite a lot in store! Everything is crammed to the ceilings with lots of options and choices. Wonderful baked goods, teas, cereals, vitamins, and lots of great refrigerated and frozen treats as well. They also have the best veggie burger selection I’ve seen in the city! If you are veggie, vegan, gluten-free, or simply health conscious, Peppercorns is your place. I could spend forever in this little shop just getting my granola on. Ah, Peppercorns, I love you.

Long-established, tiny, super-packed, health food shop from the traditional mold. You name it, they’ve got it and all in a store area smaller than a stack of soyamilk in one of the large/chain/multinationals like Wholefoods. No good for the claustrophobic or those who need the ego massage of a large, glossy shop that constantly tells you how brilliant/superior you are for shopping there, but for the rest of us it’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Peppercorns is very unassuming health food store on West End Lane. I noticed that this place had a lot of food marked down that was about to go off, which is good to score a bargain. Peppercorns also sells the Paul line of tofu but not my burgers. There was a decent selection of snack bars but as this is small store so no produce and only very few beauty products. Verdict: A good place to get a few supplimentary bits but not do a complete shop.

I have never seen quite such a variety of stock crammed into such a tiny outlet as I have at Peppercorn. There is everything here– from organic ginger beer to baby foods. The shop stocks an enormous variety of fresh breads, home-made wholefood sandwiches and paratha-everything guaranteed organic. Organic throw-away biodegradable picnic plates, toothbrushes, stock cubes, ice-cream-this is a whole foodies dream shop. There is also a wide variety of vitamin and food supplements, cosmetics, and stock room pantry goodies-dried pulses, muesli, flour, honeys and jams etc. Squeezed by the counter is a notice board advertising flat lets for non-smoking veggies. An Alladin’s cave for the wholefood minded.
