Hang on, Unilocal-leaders, you’ve got this in twice. But it’s so good, I’ll review it twice. Oh, the Phoenix, you are a greasy spoon’s dream. You bubble the squeak off my hangovers at the weekend. You fill me with the comfort of a school dinner but which has the flavour that I crave, filled with fresh produce from the Market outside. You bring me 70p cups of tea strong like I like it. You’ve got the nicest folk running you who treat you like a local from the moment you walk in the door. You’ve got what it counts, where it counts, and I don’t want you to ever change. You’re twice as nice at half the price.

This café is typical brixton, theres a real bohemian crowd. Its a great place to grab your breakfast and they will make almost anything you ask for. And the price is good. Its the peoples local café and the market traders and locals use it everyday however its very welcoming to new-comers. Inside theres space to sit and enjoy your snack but most people just pop in and take away as the service is fast and feficient but if you do choose to stay and sit in theres always something going on and someone to watch or some lively conversation to listen in on. and for lunch too theres endless combinations and options and the staff are only too happy to make you whatever you desire. A true local café that provides everything you need with no pretence.
