Disappointing here as the food was really lovely. We came for brunch to kick off a family birthday and got a table inside easily enough — nice considering most people would sit outside and drink in the atmosphere. We didn’t cos it was cold and mum isn’t good in cold weather! English breakfasts were had by the family, nice portion size and lovely scrambled eggs! I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast, also REALLY good with a squeeze of lemon. My sister was RAVING about the tea(she’s a bit mad anyway), but shouted to anyone who would listen and loads who wouldn’t that it was the best cup she’s had EVER!!! So why 2 stars? Frankly it was the creepy service. I completely hate being watched by waiting staff when I’m eating, you can feel their silent judgement on you. You’re afraid to put down your cutlery in case they whisk away the plate and you’re running after them for that last bite of toast. In here there were 10 tables inside and 5 waiting staff. Despite this we couldn’t get the bill when we wanted it, mainly because they didn’t seem to know how to work the till. Now I’m more than happy to be waited on by trainees learning the ropes, but the supervisor wasn’t watching — in fact he was too busy talking on the phone loudly or even more loudly firing some of the trainees in the middle of the café! Not a relaxing brunch we envisaged to start the day, also overpriced(£9 for English breakfast isn’t awful considering you were in the middle of covent garden)

Service and location are both good, food is below average. There is a very minimal choice so take a good look before committing!

We came there during the Olympics and were searching for a good pizza — we got what we wanted to have. Nice pizza, not too crunchy for an acceptable price…

While I often find myself in Covent Garden, I always avoid having a sit-down meal at the touristy restaurants in the Market. After a long day of shopping, however, I decided to make an exception. The menu at Piazza is mostly comprised of your average quasi-Italian dishes, with some salads, pizzas and a few meat/fish dishes. When I spotted pork belly on the list, a personal favorite and something I hadn’t had in a long while, I thought I’d try it. While it certainly did not disappoint, it wasn’t foodgasm-worthy either. I would recommend Piazza if for a quick, though overpriced, bite and the added bonus of people-watching, which is always entertaining at Covent Garden.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the crowds at Covent Garden, stop at Piazza Café. I had the rucola pizza, which came very quickly and was not at all soggy – a complaint I’ve had about other pizzerias.

I basically cried after eating food here since we paid good money for food that was«meh» and below average. It might be because I come from New York City, the land of good pizza. We had the Rucola pizza and two sides(garlic bread and rocket leaves and parmesan). The pizza was undercooked and soft. Italian style pizza? Um, no. I could heat up frozen pizza better than the pizza I had. The garlic bread was soggy and soft. The salad was decent(rocket leaves, balsamic vinegar dressing, and shaved parmesan cheese), though I wouldn’t be surprised if they screwed that up. The only cool thing about eating here is that it’s outdoors and in the middle of Covent Garden. However, even that sucked since we sat at a table where cigarette smoke kept flying our way. Watch what you order here.

Set in the middle of Covent Garden, Piazza is a cool place to munch on some snacks and sip some tea after a day of strolling around. I had the Caesar Salad and the Garlic Bread. The salad was just your basic run of the mill salad. I really liked their garlic bread even though it was bit soggy from the garlic sauce. I’d come back if I’m ever in the area and craving garlic bread. 3 stars.

Set right in the heart of Covent Garden Market and is a good place to stop by for a bite to eat or something to drink and to watch the busy world around you pass by. The al fresco dining lay out means you get to see the usual street entertainment, which can get monotonous and loud, but it does add to the atmosphere. The choice of stone baked pizzas is small but good, such as their Tartufi, with white truffle oil, goat’s cheese, rocket, tomato and mozzarella. Or simply indulge in one of their sandwiches with one of their fruity smoothies or a cup of fresh coffee.

Very popular destination in the summer. Outdoor area in the buzzing Covent Garden square. Live acts ranging from jugglers, pyromaniacs, comedians and live bands adding to busy loud ambience of the area. The brilliant aspect of the outdoor seating area is the marquee styled canopy so if a rain shower decides to dampen your day you are still covered in and enjoying the outdoors. There are wooden tables and chairs inside reflecting the stone oven pizza concept. Upstairs is a balcony, a very popular balcony which is usually always overcrowded during the week, after work and from lunch time onwards during the weekends. The food is great! Big huge pizzas with generous amounts of toppings, big enough to share between two if having a starter! I always have a big decision to make pizza or salad! The chicken salad is huge and filled with fresh chicken, green beans, cheese and a delicious dressing! Enjoy rain or shine this place is a perfect setting for a late afternoon lunch, early bite before a night on the tiles or a evening dinner with friends.
