A smaller pizza express than many others I’ve been too but still great pizza. The seem to have hiked the prices on the menu up quite significantly which is a real shame as it’s quickly becoming somewhere that I have to think twice about going to due to the price. The service at this location was okay though our waitress was a little grumpy when we walked in without a booking (really, it was 5 pm and the restaurant was practically empty…) she cheered up a little but I still notices many others being confused and offended by her manner. She didn’t show patrons to the table preferring instead to say, down the stairs and turn left. But that was just an odd minor gripe and I’ve seen other waiters act in a similar manner at other locations. Aside from that it is well located and the pizzas come out quickly. The new offerings on the menu are good but again the price hike doesn’t impress me…

I cringed hearing the name «pizza express» being mentioned at the thought of yet another greasy pizza. But this is more of an italian chain restaurant than a hole-in-he-wall pizza place. I had the rocket salad for the first time and the pizza and tiramisu were great.
Not a pizza fan but given a choice would definitely go for this place. On par with giordano’s and patxi’s sans the chicago part :) and for the uniqueness of the pizzas.

We generally go to this Pizza Express during lunch time from work which i think thrives on this. Although it is always generally busy you don’t feel like you need to need and go.
The strange layout of the place feels a bit like a labyrinth with narrow walk ways, and little space to manœuvre, but what can you expect?
The food is always yummy and delivered without a huge waiting time. I like the fact that you can see the chef from restaurant and the staff are always friendly, and as far as I can tell genuine Italian which is always a pleasant surprise in a Pizzeria.
Good food, and with the 2 for 1 deals on at the moment its well worth a visit try a salad they’re yummy!
