came here pre gig at brixton academy. i get that they draw in the pre gig crowds, but to me i never want to listen to the artist i am going to see on the day of the gig… i may be an oddity for this, but i just don’t want to. so coming in here and listening to all of lostprophets back catalogue grated on me a bit. saying that, lostprophets grate on me a bit, and i was only attending the gig in the first place because my boyfriend and his friends are mega fans(next time i will stay at home!) the bar itself had a nice vibe — really spacious and lots of seating. the bar is really long and has lots of people working it, so i would imagine that you will never have to wait long to get a drink(i’d hope not at least!) they also had a pre gig happy hour whilst we were there which was reasonable and made me happy. i love a good deal. i will come back here next time i am in the area.

Good vibes, good music, good venue, good location! Cheap drinks, cheap cloakroom, cheap entrance! No dress code and I. D is required! Great live PA’s! Absolutely spot on and you can’t go wrong!

Plan B definitely has the plan… by first of all being in the heart of Brixton, which makes it easy is you want to get a night bus home to central London and beyond. Second by having great club nights like Super duper(RnB Hip Hop vs Old Skool Garage) fly every 1st Saturday of the month. They also have other musical genre, like House, Drum and Bass and Hip-Hop. Third by having a stage to see, live PA’s or just to dance and get lost in the music. The forth plan by having sofa seating just in by the entrance plus having chairs and tables on the left side near the DJ. Also having a basement club bit which is smaller but very live. The fifth plan was the sound on both floors was on point! I had a large rose and that was £4:80, which was reasonable priced. I like the bar, and the way the drinks were beautifully displayed. The entranc fee should normally be under £10 or if your on guest list free. The atmosphere is young, fun & live! Plus you don’t have to dress to kill in their(you can if you want to) but its laid back. Make sure you get your coat early before the end of the night coz the que is looonnnngggg. If you want you can get a free hug from the cloakroom attendant, awwww. It cost a £1 to put your coat down. You need to bring I. D, seriously… do I look under 18, but hey thanks for the compliment. I like Plan B and look forward to my next visit. .

I came here on a Friday night and was not impressed. The crowd was very laid back, casual, and the staff was nice and friendly, but the music was not my thing — I found myself on the verge of falling asleep multiple times… at midnight, no less… The bar staff are very gracious and attentive; I barely had to wait before one took my order. Coat check is £1 per item, and they are very slow… Also, to the creepy short guy walking around with the weed — touch me again, and I will cut you.

I had the pleasure of DJ’ing in this newly refurbished venue, deep in the heart of Brixton, South London. The Funktion One sound system in this venue is frikkin awesome in both rooms. The vibe and atmosphere the intelligent lighting system creates is second to none. Plan B is definitely a venue to check out South of the river.

Cool little place in Brixton, I think they have done it up since I went and re-opened but it was sweet the two times I went. Akira the Don and DJ Yoda played so the nights i went were of a hip hop bent, no idea what other nights it has down here.

Plan B in Brixton is quite a trendy club. Most people are well dressed and are there to be seen. The music policy is usually house music and the DJs are really talented. I have not heard a DJ as good as when I was last there. The door policy is fairly strict, so it is important to dress well — smart and sexy is the code.

Well, when I first walked in, there was a sign hanging over the bar say two for one on bottled beer, brilliant, on a Friday night too. They did stop the deal later on in the night, but fortunately we got there quite early and took advantage of a great deal. One thing I didn’t like was that for the whole night, they gave back my change on a tray, you kind of feel obligated to leave a something on there. I know the Plan isn’t the only club to do this, but why do they expect a tip for serving a drink, when I am the one who walked to the bar and queued for fifteen minutes. If a waitress came to my table and brought my drink back on a tray, then I would definitely tip. Leaving a tray just takes advantage of the light headedness of peoples, which I think is a little immoral, but what can we do. I must sound scrooge like and stingy or something, but that’s far from the truth, we are already over charged in bars anyway. So owners at Plan B, take away those trays and become and become Plan A. Back onto the bar itself, after the two for one on the beers, we started on the cocktails, there was a decent list of the same names to choose from at an average £9 each. What was great is the space, it was busy, but at the same time there was more than enough space to do what you wanted, like dance, dance with your cocktail without the worry of someone shoving you and ending your cocktails life, or just chill. It is really tidy inside, leather seats and of a general nice décor. I like plan B a lot, but get rid of those trays will you!

My first time out in Brixton and I was lucky enough to hit on Plan B. I couldn’t believe it when they played Welcome to the Jungle, Killing in the Name and Thirty Nine Problems. Inspired. I can’t comment on the other nights(this was a Thursday), but this place had a really good atmosphere, really great setup and layout, and the staff were pretty friendly. Definitely going to be checking it out on a House night.

I came to the Plan B recently after the Goldfrapp gig at Brixton Academy, this bar was hosting the after party and a friend convinced us to go after the show. Seeing it from the outside I was not thrilled it looks’s like a swanky early 90s Cosmo drinking bar. Fortunately it was not what I thought, I had so much fun, the DJ played some amazing tunes, it was perfect to get out of the concert with so much excitement from the good performance we saw, and come into a small space with good vibes. So I highly recommend that if you go to a concert at Brixton Academy, you come here for a drink or two afterwards. The bartenders are really cool and the drinks reasonably priced. As it turns, these place hosts really good nights, like they are having one of my fav DJs the Basement Jaxx to celebrate their anniversary! Only thing is the whole Victoria line closing early!!! I had to take the replacement bus; it wasn’t that bad, after a good night out just waiting for the bus seems kind of alright.

Plan B is a great choice for a night out. Although it may make it seem effortless, it probably takes a lot of planning and luck to make a club work. Most importantly is the crowd, and the crowd here are always friendly and laid back. So are the bouncers and staff. Oh, and girls — the toilets are clean and well maintained as well — always a bonus! My favourite night here is Rebel Disko. This is meant to be Wednesday nights on rotation, but sometimes it is quite hard to track down. On this club night, the DJ mixes everything up, and you get some really wild choices. One fond memory is throwing myself around to The Cure followed up by some mashed up Blondie. Because this place is just around the corner from Brixton Academy, there are a lot of after party nights held here. That does not necessarily mean that they actual artists will be here, but the DJ will often mix in the records of the artists in question. The drinks are worth mentioning here too. They are a cut above your usual club JD and cokes and Bacardi Breezers. There is a very comprehensive cocktail list which I worked steadily through when I had my birthday here. My favourite is probably the Jasmine and Elderflower Collins and the Mojitos. Be prepared to queue for a bit at the bar though, when you have a lot of people ordering complex cocktails, you will find yourself waiting a while! I have also noticed that it is now open for longer, at weekends it is up to 5am. This is a vast improvement on a time when it used to shut around 1 on a week night, cutting short everyones great night out!

Plan B is a venue in the heart of south London’s Brixton(there is even a cool magazine with the same name). It is a place where you will catch everyone from jounalistsand bloggers to fashion desingers and more. The atmosphere on the dance floor is amazing, the bar staff are freindly which is a good thing seeing as it is brixton. Of course you have to follow the mood of the situation, not very regular… but if you can get it you will have a very happy and nice night, with music from jazz and trip hop to soul r&b and the odd bit of dance music.

Didn’t enjoy my time at Plan B. Granted I’m not a massive hip hop fan but I thought it was bloody rubbish there! It was hot, smelly and had an overly aggressive atmosphere. The only reason it doesn’t get one star is because of the amazing clearing up of a broken bottle by the staff that made the wimbledon ball boys look slow and inefficient. I’m pretty sure three bar staff were there with brooms, torches and warning signs before the bottle hit the ground. Incredible. So it’s not worth going unless you want to ‘accidently’ drop a bottle and be amazed.

I went to Plan B on a friday when they usually play hip hop, rnb, soul, dancehall and reagge. Plan B felt alot like one of them teenage dance movies where there always is a dancebattle in a club lol. The dancefloor was a large area sunken down with plenty of seating areas around it. This way you could see everyone and it makes the club look more packed which can be a good thing. I believe Plan B is one of them clubs you kind of have to know how to dance, you need to know the basics of modern hip hop culture etc. Know the following: Willy Bounce, Souljah Boy, ChiChi man and dutty wine(if you are a girl) lol. Pro’s: Absolutely great music, fun and good looking crowd, free entrance, nice dancefloor with goot light effects. Con’s: Very Hot, extremely smelly.(however its worth it)

I just rented B-low, Plan B’s room downstairs for a party. It cost £200 for the hire which you get back if you spend £2k on the bar. In comparison I looked at two trendy pubs in angel which would have cost me £150 and you get nothing back, no where near as good, doesnt even come close… We had 2 bar man and security guard to stop intruders coming in and I have to say my party absolutely rocked! Ok I did have a good DJ but the venue is awesome. It can fit between 50 — 100 people, there’s plany of seating and littlw tables, a raised area with cosy corners, the sound system is brilliant and conveniently there are both male and female toilets in the room so everything is self-contained. The only downside to my night was the clipboard person on the door who didnt match the cool, down to earth vibe at plan b, they needed to be in a west-end club or something. they didnt create the right impression for the club as a whole. So, if you want to celebrate this is definately a good place to do it but just dont tell everyone otherwise if I try to book it again it will be fully booked!

Plan B is off the chain! This Brixton club is certainly one of the best in the area. You can enjoy some good soul, old school hip hop and funk over there. As far as I’m concerned, I usually go there on Fridays but I heard that the atmosphere is as great on Saturdays and Sundays too. Me likey!

Plan B is one of Brixton’s coolest clubs, with wicked music each night and a regular b boy throwdown makes Plan B an ace place for entertainment on a thursday through to sunday evening. Friday night is cool electronic music and other nights are everything in between hip hop to house. The drinks are a little pricey but the atmosphere is cool and vibrant!
