This place is really intimate and the back of leadenhall market. It’s not crowded because I think not many people know about it so potentially a real insider. They sell their own wine, have a lovely little wine section in the back and are a lovely little team. You can have snacks and enjoy a chilled atmosphere. Def check it out when your in the area(it’s the small one by the way, I think there are more)

In the midst of the hussle of bustle of the busy city, I found this little wine bar hidden in a little alley by Leadenhall Market. Even though it is small and always seemed to be fully booked, it is warm, comfy and has a very friendly atmosphere. Wooden chairs table and bar, classy and old fashioned. A very good crowd and the staffs in POGT are very friendly, always ready to assist you with any queries you have. Excellent service! This is one of my favourite wine bars. I visit this bar a couple of times a month. It’s great place to wind down after a stressful day at work. It’s a great place to relax and have a glass on your own or even enjoying it with company of friends. The varieties of wine served by the glass are quite diverse compared to most bars. Not the most common known wines from typical bar menu. However, I am generally speaking about the wine served by the glass. The menu for wine by the glass, changes every 8 weeks or so. They have fantastic range of wine by the bottles. You may even buy these bottles to enjoy at home. I have been here more than a dozen times and I will definitely go here again.

If an owner of a bar can come up with a name as cool as this you’ve got to visit just to congratulate him/her. Tucked away in the side streets of the very proper bit of London, the fully suited and booted bankery-types who have a sense humour will appreciate Planet of the Grapes. Even more so when they see the portraits of famous drunks of the past hanging on the walls of the cosy enclaves behind the bar. Another subtle touch which when consumed with some rather respectable wine and delightful service makes this placewelldelightfully respectable.

Excellent little find. Inside it has a brasserie kind of feel, albeit very very compact! Choose from delicious wines from the shop and then £10 to enjoy there and then! Didn’t try the food this time around but I’ll be back as the charcuterie platter looked inviting!
