Good food, nice relaxed place, friendly staff — I like it. My wife and I came here for brunch on Saturday morning after a quick browse through the stalls on Broadway Market. The space is brightly sunlit and has high ceilings and feels charmingly rustic/DIY without being over the top. We were told we could sit anywhere, so we picked the window end of a tall communal table near the door. It was chilly, but the door is well-insulated and opens away from the table, so I never felt cold despite being right next to it. Good design. The staff were friendly but chill, checking in on us regularly enough to get us coffee and food when we wanted it but not enough to be oppressive. The food was good, with the eggs actually cooked to my wife’s specification(well done!) and my chorizo and«punched» potatoes very savory and flavorful. The brunch food didn’t blow my mind or anything, but it was definitely good. The coffee was tasty as well, if not super-gourmet, with our lattes served in large mugs about twice the size of what we had gotten up the street from Climpson. Good for lingering over. I think it’s really a 4.5 star place — I’d like the coffee and food to be just one notch better to really be 5-star-worthy — but we happily relaxed there and had a wide-ranging and comfortable conversation for 2 hours, with cheerful service the whole time, so I’m bumping it up to 5.

Évaluation du lieu : 3 London, United Kingdom
So POCO had their first site in Bristol. It’s all super local(well, with 100 miles), sustainable, organic, british, etc. They really try for no waste and thats great. When people heard they were opening here, there was lots of buzz. Straight up — I went on day four of them opening, so there are certain concessions one has to make. That all being said, however… The Food was amazing. Tasty, mostly well seasoned(the girolles mushrooms on the corn could have used a bit more seasoning, but the corn was perfect), nicely presented. Yay. The Staff were genuine and friendly, and pretty much on it, even though they were obviously still rolling with just opening«WTF happens now» moments. Super cute venue over all. It took a second for me to get over the fact this used to be my favourite bike shop, but they’ve done well with the space. Little candles, sharing tables and high ceilings. They’re still dealing with a few things, and thats totally fine. For instance, their licence only allows them to be open till 10, so last reservations are at 8… mmmmokay. The big catch: we had three tiny plates(creamed corn, pigeon, and lamb neck) which were delicious, but hardly touched the sides plus two drinks, and the bill was just shy of £50. We actually went to Burger Bear and ate a full burger each just to start to feel full. SO realistically if we wanted to actually have a full meal there, we were looking at an easy £100, which seems a bit much for what it was. I’m sure I’ll go back and try their brunch, but I doubt i’ll do dinner again. UNLESS — I go for their happy hour *which actually looks amazing* — from 5:30 — 6:30, buy a cocktail and get two small plates for free. Boom.
