I am not usually a fan of standard gym chains, but I came in here for a drop in when my usual gym was closed. It is a fairly large space. There is quite a bit of equipment, especially cardio machines like treadmills, etc… They do have some free weights, but could probably have some more. When I went, it was not crowded, so this was not an issue. However, I wonder if the free-weight area starts to feel small at a busier time. The main difference between this and other big gyms that I have been to is that this is basically a low-cost gym. Although the facilities are all clean and seem to be well maintained, some things that one would usually expect are missing. For example, towels are not provided and there is no front desk. You actually get in by using a code that they email you to open the door. That being said, there are several reasons for a good rating. First of all, it is open 24⁄7. Second, it is cheap. You can get a day pass for 5.99GBP with no obligations to buy anything else. Although I wouldn’t join this gym on a monthly basis and go regularly, it is a great option to have if you want to go for a drop-in every now and then.

Really just an awful place. The facilities are clean and equipment is in decent order BUT you are treated like cattle by the staff. The first thing that I saw on the wall after using an impersonal star trek code to enter the building was a poster that read ‘Please put your weights back. We have CCTV and your membership can be affected’. Are you kidding me? About 30 minutes later, a manager named Hugh approached me in the weight room(wearing flipflops). He told me that my rucksack on the floor by the wall was a safety issue! I questioned his choice of footwear and he got defensive. Never will I go to this awful place again. Look beyond the clean equipment and 90’s music and its just a lifeless cell of whitewalls and rules where you are not a person but just a number.
