Queen’s Walk

La Queen’s walk, vous connaissez ?
Si la réponse est négative, il s’agit d’une large et longue allée qui longe la Tamise sur la rive sud, qui commence face à Westminster et qui finit face à Saint Paul’s Cathedral.
Mais pourquoi y aller ?
Tout simplement pour les multiples attractions que propose cette balade selon les saisons: petite foire aux manège, beaucoup de coins pour manger et boire (jus de fruits, milk-​shake, bière…) sur place ou à emporter, etc.
Il y a beaucoup d’animation, d’endroits où s’asseoir et d’espaces familiaux.
La vue est imprenable sur différents bâtiments de Londres, dont Westminster.
Si vous avez des enfants, il y a plein de bacs à sable géant tout au long du parcours.
Si vous aimez le skate, il y a un lieu dédié.
Si vous aimez voir des salons ou des expos, il y a un palais des congrès.
Si vous aimez marcher, il faut prévoir deux heures pour tout visiter car certaines alleés cachent des «quartiers» remplis de surprises !
Petite note: Dès qu’il fait beau, il y a beaucoup de monde. Mais on a quand même beaucoup de place pour bouger et né pas être oppressé ! ;)

Promenade’s are exclusively built for pedestrians by sea shore banks and in the case; of The Queen’s Walk by the river Thames. The development a plan of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II has been included in the National Trail. I suppose the pedestrian is meant to be attracted and distracted to the many iconic landmarks along the path such as The London Eye, Tower Of London, Tate Gallery and a few well known pubs. The view of the river though is a completely different skyline. If your keen eye notices a sand artist sculpting images each telling a story or a joke. Throw him a penny for his delight. Skaters, skate boarders, joggers, cyclists will bustle up this promenade and give it that character. Just under the Queen Elizabeth Hall the sheltered section has an unofficial skateboarding community. Worth the distraction. This section of the walk tends to get really crowded over the weekends.
