It’s still early days for this new member’s club, but it has all the right ingredients for a great hangout which is unlike anywhere else in Camden. The problem with Camden these days is that, like Shoreditch, it’s almost become a victim of its own success. Record Club could be just the thing to inject a bit of rock ‘n’ roll glamour back into Camden. The cocktail list is reasonable, but also succinct — a good thing in my opinion, as I hate waiting a long time at the bar. If you’ve been to this venue when it was Camden Rock or Bar Monster, prepare to be surprised at the dramatic transformation! The décor is flawless and really on-trend. The interior seems to be a really good size, too — comprising a cosy outdoor smoking area, an upstairs bar with comfy couches and a bookshelf, a covered outdoor seating area with a screen, and the main bar area which has got a lot of standing room and a stage for live music. Keep an eye on Record Club, it’s well worth a visit for the art work alone.
