It was fine for a traditional afternoon tea-coffee. Desserts were ok. Ambience good. Everything is very high priced in London. I left Herrods feeling irritable and this place made me a bit more edgy. I don’t know how London survives! You come here with plenty of cash and try to absorb the historical experience!!!

The coffee is terrible. My drink is a macchiato — that’s an espresso with a touch of milk. The coffee here is overpoweringly strong. And for the price of £2.95, it is easily the dearest, where normally my drink is a mere £1.50.
Service isn’t great — with the waiter being a bit pointy.
I can’t judge the pastries and food since I did not try anything.
The décor earned them an extra star. The painting of the sky on the ceiling is a deft touch, which exudes a certain airiness. The chandelier also adds some class.

I went here while waiting for Harrods to open, because it’s straight across the street, which is very convenient. Inside the place looked very nice and classy!
I ordered a cappuchino and a slice of strawberry cheesecake. The waiter was very kind and funny, which is always nice to see. The slice was lovely! I think this was one of the best strawberry cheesecakes I’ve ever had! But I was not expecting anything else for the price you had to pay for it. After eating the cake (which looked like a small piece) I was very full, so even though the price was a bit high, it was worth the money.
We sat at ground level, but there was also a basement where people went to if there was no place left at ground level.

This place is good for Sunday breakfast and for afternoon tea and scones. The staff are not a helpful as I would like and on two separate occasions the people I was with had their purse stolen by a pick-pocket by a patron. This obviously happens regularly so there is no excuse for the staff not looking out for this or for being more helpful.

i had a decent afternoon tea here. its basement level i think which is a little strange. im more used to lots of sunlight. i think it was about 35 pounds. nothing particularly stood out but i remember being so stuffed that i couldnt eat my dessert; just took the bite with the gold leaf haha.
personally, i would just splurge for tea at the savoy but this was across the street from harrods and i was hungray.

Lecker Frühstück, freundliche und schnelle Bedienung, sehr klassisches Ambiente.
Die Tische sind leider zu klein um mit 2 Personen auch genug Platz für die angebotenen Menüs zu haben. Eine Garderobe habe ich leider auch vermisst.
