Rinky Dink — you’ll enjoy this bar depending on the what you’re looking for. Want to go somewhere and try good cocktaills? You’ll like this place. Need somewhere to settle early on a Fri/Sat night and let the fun develop around you? This place works for that too. Midweek chill for good pizza and chat? Yep, works for me. Late night bar with some crazy good music to shake your booty? Brilliant. Want to rock up here about 10pm just starting your night out and looking for some quick service? Ain’t going to happen, you’ll hate it. And so the ever changing Rinky Dink might just catch you in the right mindframe — it’ll blow your socks off! You might come here looking for something that it wont provide, and promptly head elsewhere. Do give it a second chance though? Right?

An ok place if you stay for ONE quick drink before heading elsewhere. I liked the cocktails… but they were nothing special. Don’t expect a seat on the weekend… we stole Mike’s ‘reserved’ area(yes it’s one of those places) but luckily the mysterious Mike was a no show. This caused the staff a lot of confusion and stress, it must be all that shit funky house that has turned their brain to mush. The barman said i had a nice smile, he was clearly after a tip, but they get two stars all the same!

A birthday night out that began with cocktails here was actually really enjoyable. The cocktails are fab with the staff pumping them out fast and furious behind the bar. I totally agree about the rude staff though. We showed up at around 9.30 and there were 4 huge tables reserved with no one actually sat on them. The rest of the bar was crammed so after grabbing our drinks we went to sit at one of these huge tables. Straight away the small yappy woman with the clipboard at the door trotted over to us and demanded we move as they were reserved. After explaining that we had no problem moving and will do so as soon as the party it was intended for arrived. She snuffed and sniffed and trotted back to the door. We spent 2 hours in here and actually, noone came to 3 of those 4 tables so I really think that they need to re-work their policy about reservations. I can’t give this place 1 star though as the cocktails were fab and actually very well priced. This is Clapham so expect bad funky house mustic and dolled up guys and gals on the pull. It’s not my kind of place but if you dig this, you could do worse.

Unlike Victoria above I’ve always had a good experience of this place. Whenever I’ve visited it has always been packed with young and trendy people and, though it is next to the Kazbar and may attract some gay people to it, I would never describe it as a gay bar as its definitely a place for the straights, unless it’s dramatically changed since I last visited. As a bar it is quite chilled and relaxed. Drinks are mainly served as 50ml which is fine, the staff have always been quite friendly and the pizza’s are great and not to badly priced either. As a nice place to pop into on an afternoon I’d recommend it though it can get too crowded in the evening so bag a seat before ordering your drinks.

Oh dear. Not good memories from this place, and such a shame as the pizza, especially the two-for-one deal is brilliant. The problem is, primarily, the staff — so, so rude, at least the ones I’ve encountered. I used to often get a take-away from here until one week I arrived and was treated as scum for even suggesting such a thing! Quite an odd experience, and then they got the order wrong anyway. The second problem is the huge screen showing tacky euro-pop type music videos. Granted, it’s a gay bar and has a certain taste in mind and perhaps didn’t want our custom, but there is no need at all for such rudeness and I wouldn’t go back there again.
