Sainsbury’s

Sold me meat that had the use by date the same day. It was right at the front of the shelf and no indication that it t was supposed to be eaten that day. When pointed out the next day staff were uninterested and rude.

My favorite supermarket!
Fresh baked goods as cheap as they get. Lactose-​free whole milk! Korean ramen. Lots of variety when it comes to sauces and condiments. Fresh meat, not expensive.
One of those grocery stores that you walking into, thinking, «eggs, milk, broccoli, chicken» and walk out with a bagful of stuff you can barely carry.

Elderflower Presse drink for a quid 80. Yes!
I love this Sainsbury’s, close to home, stocked on gossip rags, they carry a local brand called «Dirty Girl» products that I love.
I can’t get enough of this place!

Great location, excellent blend of products, clean and big enough to go shopping even on Saturday mornings!
Fresh vegetables and fruits and great promotions.

but besides that it has a coinstar in it. I was able to put my collection in and take the ticket right next door to the customer service desk and get cash.

Fantastic that this part of the world doesn’t have to suffer from having the horrendous Tesco as the only late night supermarket.
As another reviewer mentioned the staff in this place are amazingly helpful it could be the honeymoon period but I hope it continues because it’s a solid local supermarket

This shop used to be so great. You could find every single thing you ever needed… until something happened and now all your favourite items are not there anymore. They started to change all the original products for the Sainsburys own brand witch sucks. I really want to have a choice there but this place is not giving it to you.
Sometimes I think they should hire more staff. The iles are often messy and products are sold out leaving huge gaps on the shelves. The frozen food is mostly often defrosted and boxes look soggy and icy in the freezers!
Has it been a change of management? I don’t know, but whoever manages this place is not doing it right. Also be aware of the guy working in the frozen section… do not ask him for help as he will grunt and most likely put you off getting anything in the shop.
Sadly for me this is my local supermarket and I often buy my food here. I really wish they could get back to the way it was; stocked, friendly and a good choice of products. However, what is enjoyable with this Sainsburys are the customers. The punky and alternative crowd getting the every day supplies of grocery and toilet paper are both colourful and entertaining to watch!

If you go here, bring a car with a large trunk (or boot as they say in he UK) cause even though this is the largest market around and have everything you need you’ll only want to come here every other week or so cause it’s a mad house. Huge, crowded and lines (queues).
For your daily goods go elsewhere, for your huge parties and/​or twice-​a-​month big stock up, come here.

This is the biggest supermarket in the area. If you want a one stop shop for all your groceries this is the place to be.
The convenience section is pretty good, with hot chicken waiting to be munched for lunch as well as an impressive salad bar and sandwich selection. The convenience section pales in comparison to the immense selections of day to day and speciality goods Sainsbury’s stock. Living in the city doesn’t have to mean eating packaged meals, you can get everything you need here to make a sensational fresh, healthy meal.
The only drawback is that this branch of Sainsbury’s gets very busy. There really is nothing like listening to kids screaming, waiting for the old biddy who’s in your way to choose the cheapest tuna, then for some lout to ram a trolley into your achilles heel. Fabulous! This aside, this is a great supermarket.

Sainsburys ist oft mal in den Shoppinteilen. Gerade nach einem ausgiebigen Shopping idealer Supermarkt, um Proviant einzukaufen. Viel zum mitnehmen, wie kleinere Getränke und Sandwiches. Praktischerweise auch direkt an der Bushaltestelle Richtung Stadt.

WOW! It’s like Black Friday everyday at this grocery store. No joke. If you like the chaotic grocery store with people lunging at literally the last box of cornflakes, then by all means have at it. Long lines await you after you stock your cart– and imagine having to pay 1 pound for it. You do get it back though. Guess I’m not use to the London way of doing things, but I’m going to have to learn somehow. The one thing that I do like about Sainsburys? It’s humongous! They do have just about everything– kind of like the local Fred Meyer, except a lot more fast paced and crazy.

Huuuuuge store and when you consider the fact that it’s in a city, it’s realllllly huge! They have everything you could possibly want with an enormous selection! Cereal takes up the entire aisle! Of course, there’s a bakery, deli, produce, packaged foods for take away… what more could you want!
I was there mid week and they were closing around 24, but their site says they’re open til 0000 during the week, 22 on Saturdays and 17 on Sundays.

When I need Blood Oranges or a grocery store that is a step above Safeway I visit Sainsbury.
I enjoy the selection of produce, fresh food and frozen goods. This supermarket is comparable to some of the large food store chains in the United States.

Very large Sainburys with late opening hours. They always have offers which they place near the entrance, and these can be very good value much of the time. It is also clearly laid out, with fresh at the beginning and the bakery section at the end. The staff were very friendly, chatty but not too much. It is a very convenient supermarket for much of Camden.

I don’t think that I’ve ever been to another supermarket where all of the employees are so friendly and helpful.
The store is quite large and well stocked. It’s usually really busy but they still manage to keep it clean and mostly tidy.
I shop in this supermarket usually at least once a week and I have never had a bad experience with the staff. They always greet you in a friendly and polite manner and always offer to pack your bags. They go out of their way to be helpful and that puts them way above all the other supermarkets in the area in my opinion.

My first stop for food. The bakery is the best. Go there before closing and you can get some great reduced items like the doughnuts. I bought 10 doughnuts for 10p a few weeks ago!!!

One of the biggest Sainsbury’s around London. You can find everything under the sun here, from food to household range. I know, it’s a big chian supermarket but personally it’s still my favourite as I’m familiar with the staff there and they’ve been excellent. Good news is that, it opens till midnight on weekdays

It’s a large and easily accessible store. This store packs all the punches you’d expect in the age of everything-​under-​one-​roof; there’s a deli, a salad bar, an in-​store bakery, a fish counter, a newsagent, a florist, videos, music and hot food. Situated in North London, they also cater for the kosher market.
