I’m seeing positive reviews here and guessing none of the reviewers have interacted with the owner. A waitress told us she would turn on the game on the screen we were sitting by, but she never did. So at the start of the game I approached a man at the bar to say that we were still waiting for the game to be put on our screen as well, and his answer was that whatever I’ve been told was a lie(wtf?). I said OK, are you going to play the game or not? To which he answered«don’t tell me what to do, I’m the owner.» But then someone else came asking for the game as well, so he grabbed the remote and walked over while asking the other guy«are you with this prick?» End of story. You should never support someone who would treat and insult their guest like this. Up to you if you’d still like to go.

Fantastic fresh made food and so cheap! Great hidden pub, perfect for watching sports.

Great for watching Ireland play rugby. Atmosphere is great. Saw Ireland win 6 nations here. Ales ok. Guiness good. Not a fake Irish boozer.

This is a cracking little pub. Tucked away just behind Mornington Crescent tube, this is a relative rarity in London — an Irish pub that actually feels Irish. None of your O’Neill’s-esque idiocy here. On top of a really authentic ambience, they also boast traditional Irish food — burger and chips, fish and chips, etc. It reminded me of copious summers spent in Donegal, where little Ciaran would marvel at the sheer volume of junk people from the north of Ireland can hoover away. Then again, I was smacked up on Club Orange most of the time, so what do I know. We were in for a Celtic Champions League tie, so the atmosphere was buzzing. Get involved.

Sheephaven Bay is probably the best pub in the area to watch sport on television. With multiple screens and several rooms the pub will be full and yet you’ll still probably be able to find a seat somewhere during match days. They also(inexplicably?) have Coors Light on tap… although I was told by a professional Coors Light drinker that it’s actually regular Coors in the US, it’s just marketed as Coors Light here in the UK. Regardless, I’ve never been a Coors Light drinker, but I will admit that after running around in Regents Park for a couple hours a ice cold Coors Light is quite refreshing. For the ale drinkers out there, not to worry, they also have a few on cask for you to try. Unfortunately I haven’t tried any of the food yet, so this review is only for the drinking and atmosphere, so I’ll have to try some next time I’m there and update my review!

Have been once or twice to watch football, and they’ve been showing several games at once(admittedly only the main one with the volume on), so great if you can multitask, but somewhat distracting if you can’t. Tried the chips, which weren’t too bad. Plenty of seating and atmosphere’s not terrible. They have darts if that’s your thing too. Not bad, but nothing that really draws you back again either.

Nice pub, which I only seem to visit for their excellent pub quiz on a Monday night. I really should go more. The place seems to be run by Irish people, with a policy of hiring Spanish(or at least Mediterranean/Latino) staff. Whatever it is, they are all very friendly. They have a limited but reliable ale selection and the food is fine. The aforementioned quiz is a pleasure. It is free to enter if you don’t want to join in the snowball round for £1. That £1 allows you to have sausages, chips and beans at the end of the night. Brilliant.
