Amazing restaurant with great ambience in the heart of Knightsbridge. The prices are actually reasonable and the food is really good quality. The Palak chicken is amazing, really special in fact. I went there on a Monday so it was dead time but it didn’t ruin the mood at all. Will definitely come back.

Service was a bit slow & took FOREVER to get our food. Quality was pretty good, had to send back the karhai chicken for some extra spices & salt. My fav was the palau rice.

Based on the location, price and the branding, I expected much more from my dining experience here at Shezan. We came here as a group of for a friend’s birthday — I always make allowances when dining as a large group when writing reviews, however there are only so many allowances I can make! Décor This was a charming and well presented treasure cove of old India/Pakistan. Lots of ornaments and treasures and comfy cushions on the seats. It has character, and offers privacy even when really busy due to the way the tables are organised. They had musicians playing throughout the evening. The violinist was absolutely terrible. Imagine: 10 year old practice session. The pianist was ok, which almost saved the awful performances! Service The manager/owner was a nice enough chap. Had good banter with guests. Service was slow — this was even given allowances due to is being a group. VEGETARIANSBEWARE: When the food came, the waiters had no idea what the dishes were. They would poke at the dishes and declare it a vegetarian curry… When we pointed out that there appears to be pieces of chicken in there, he corrected himself and agreed it was chicken. This happened with various other dishes too! Food The food was average at best. Nothing amazing. Quality and presentation is comparable to something one would get in a cheap and cheerful curry house. Word of warning: the food overall is very spicy. So if you can’t handle your spice(like me) be sure to order a large raita /yoghurt to cool the fire. Sadly my raita never came as they seemed to have forgotten about it despite asking multiple times. They have a large seafood section on the menu, however I would advise you to stick to the standard: mixed grilled meats, curries. If you are booking on a 50% off food deal, seafood is NOT included. Frankly, I would only eat here again on a 50% off deal as that is what it is worth.

I was looking forward to a fine dining experience centred around Pakistani food, sadly all I got was a rude awakening, this establishment seems to gain custom only due to its Knightsbridge location I would fathom. The food offering was way below average with most of the food bland and lifeless flavor wise. We ordered lamb chops which are listed as a signature dish, upon arrival of the chops we tried them expecting a explosion of tender melt in your mouth experience, this was not to be case. My fiancé due to the blunt knife was unable to even dissect the chop to eat, on asking for a sharper knife the elderly waiter suggested we use our hands, he was promptly advised that we were seated at a fine dining establishment and not the local football team barbecue. The mixed grill also lacked flavor with the single prawn gracing the dish having being almost cremated in the tandoor. The only dish that was acceptable was the lamb karahi which was equivalent in quality to those available at any half decent carryout. We skipped desserts paid our dues and departed without any further ado. On a positive note the décor was nice but sadly one is unable to eat that. My advice would be to avoid this place and save your money. Sad but true.

Food was not good. Service not much better. Way too expensive! Was not impressed to say the least.

Out of all the Indian restaurants in London, the Hotel recommended Shezan. I am not sure if it’s because it was right by the hotel or they are helping each other out by recommendations but this place was pretty good. The décor in here is insane.

A very traditional indian restaurant based in the very classy Knightsbridge area of London. Just opposite Harrods to be exact located on a quiet side street where you can park right outside the door after 6.30pm. The atmosphere is very nice and the service and food is excellant. This is one of the most established indian restaurants in London and is therefore quite pricey, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Well you certainly wouldn’t find this place by accident, nestled in one of the quiet backstreets opposite Harrods. It seemed to fit in with the genteel surroundings as a slight throwback to a different era of attentive service. The food was good if a little overpriced — luckily my dining partner had booked with a 50% off deal that meant the final price was about normal — the breads in particular(nan, paratha) were fresh and hot. The restaurant itself was pretty quiet, the background music unobtrusive and we were comfortable just sitting for some time after we’d finished eating.
