Slice Street Bakery

A tiny outpost of Breadstall (just up the road), Slice opened up about 4 months ago and replaced the occasional table that Breadstall would have set up along St. John’s Road with a small semi-​permanent stall. Definitely a welcome addition to Battersea’s food scene.
Like their older sibling, Slice offers my favourite sausage rolls on the planet: mostly meat with just the right amount of flaky pastry to hold it all together. Delicious. I love that Slice is slightly less known than the original Breadstall so we can get our fix of sausagey goodness on a weekend before heading to wander along along the Northcote Road market (where they often sell out). The name comes from their pizza offerings which I’ve not yet had but am pretty sure are the same Breadstall high standard.
