Specsavers

Specsavers is only the opticians’ I’ve been to and so when I moved to London the local in Dalston was the obvious choice. But this place is a bit of a nightmare.
Appointments are not available for short notice and it’s clear that this place is overwhelmed… be prepared to wait 20 minutes before getting to see anyone.
The staff are friendly enough and the eye exams are fuss-​free. But this place does not fill me with confidence. It took 3 phone calls, 1 in-​store visit (resulting in speaking to at least 4 members of staff) and a call back from head office for the store to successfully update my address. At one point they updated in store but not for contact lens delivery, meaning I was out of contacts for a month. Head office happily mailed out an extra pack, but again — more a reflection of the brand than this branch.
I am reluctant to go to this branch again.

For those who wear glasses or contact lenses, you know that this can be very expensive, paying for your eye test to buying your specs or contact lenses. Compared to other optician I have visited, Specsavers offers lenses at reasonable prices and great offers on designer frames. The last time I went into the Kingsland Road branch, the person that served me was very helpful by assisting me in choosing the right frames for my face. It took me over 2hours to make a choice on the frame I wanted and he was very patient with me. I had to make sure I choose the right frames, as I will be stock with them for almost 2years.
