A very usual kind of place. For an early weekend evening, we found it quite scarcely occupied. We just had a few cocktails, which is hard to go wrong in a bar right?! Seating is generously spread out. One of the few places where I would probably opt for seating by the bar. Service is friendly. All in all, an ok-pleasant experience.

I ended up here last night to meet an old friend and it was just convenient in terms of travel for us both. It is what it says, a bar and grill. The staff can be very slow at times and you sometimes have to repeat what you want to them due to language barriers in place. The food we had was alright although the chips they serve are literally just store bought frozen oven chips. That being said their spicy chicken drum sticks are damn fine eating. Overall it was nothing special. Normal London prices for drinks, lots of to screens to watch multiple sporting events on and convenient to get your train home from.

A little hidden away upstairs in the station. Good for a quick drink but wouldn’t stay longer than that. It is like all the other Sports Bar chains, so if you’re not a fan of sport or places where it’s full of men staring intently at TV screens, then don’t go here. Personally I think this branch needs a bit more lighting as it’s quite dimly light. The food is quite overpriced here too(but their burgers are delish!) But as I said, good for a pit stop/quick drink/waiting for a train place.

Hmmmm! I’m torn here. As far as bars in train stations go its good, in fact comparably its great. As a sports bar, which is what it seems to push itself as with a gastro menu, its not so great. On a fairly bust 6 nations day the service fell to pieces, the staff seemed more irritated as each order went. Not really what you want on a nice Saturday out in town. If I was at Waterloo waiting for a train I would go back, to watch a sporting event with friends… I would give it a wide berth.

Surprisingly delicious burgers This is the kind of place I normally avoid. I’m not a huge fan of American style chains and unless I particularly want to watch a match I don’t like bars with loads of TVs. I’m also really fussy when it comes to burgers, particularly how they are cooked and I rarely order them when I’m out. So to have ended up in this particular establishment and to have enjoyed it as much as I did was a pleasant surprise. I had met a friend for a drink and we decided to go for a quick bite to eat before heading home. A friend of his had really recommended the burgers here so we decided to give it a try. To be entirely honest if I had known where he was talking about I probably would have politefully declined but luckily I didn’t and instead I enjoyed the best burger I’ve had out in years. Neither of us was very hungry so we decided to share a burger and fries and we also split a side order of onion rings. The burger was really delicious. The flavours were fantastic and the meat was moist and juicy. Most importantly the burger was cooked properly. I do not like rare or even medium rare burgers. Steak is great rare but minced meat needs to be cooked properly. And here it was. In fact I should probably warn you(in case for some reason you enjoy the taste and texture of slimy raw minced meat) that this is the only way they cook their burgers — they are in agreement with me on this!!! The toppings were simple; tomatoes, lettuce. onion(which I removed) and sauce, but not too much! The bun was ciabatta. The fries were fine. They were skinny fires which I’m not a huge fan of but we could have ordered chunky chips instead which I will do the next time. The onion rings were also fine but not remarkable. For me the standout hero of the meal was the burger. I should also mention the service which was excellent and our waitress was really lovely. My mouth is watering as I write this review and I need to get myself back for another burger soon. I think that says it all really.

We ended up in Waterloo station on one of our outings while we were in London recently. We were hungry so we decided to just have some food here. The burgers were really good. I had a Mediterranean style lamb burger. The meat patty itself was moist and not over cooked and I liked the ciabatta bread they used. The beer selection is good and it seems like a good after work bar.
