I just left, but it was excellent, the Unilocal members as always warm friendly and engaging. The Adult theme was a good one. I love kids but why should they have all the fun, heee. The ice creams and adult lollies were yummy, pineapple and passion fruit smoothies, with a drop of rum. Treasure hunt was fun, with the glass of Presco afterwards for your efforts. Enjoyed this event very much.

Walked through this amazing park on route to Unilocal’s Kids Adventure Play Event. Apparently it holds the Green Flag Award, given as it is one of the best green spaces in the country, and I can see why. It’s massive, and only walked through a minute part of it, but I liked what I saw, quite a hilly park and beautiful views. We walked past tennis court down to the bottom of Spring Hill along the river marina, where narrowboats were moored, and canoeist paddling along the river. Will have to go back to explore it some more, and the café which I have heard of.

The London Borough of Hackney, one of London’s poorest boroughs, is blessed with more than its fair share of lovely parks. And Springield Park is one of the best, possibly only beaten by Victoria Park. Situated next to the River Lea, in upper Clapton, the park is beautifully landscaped(though it luckily has a natural hillyness to it anyway). It has a great café, which doubles as a small gallery. It also has a conservation garden, which is full of great plants and flowers. I often visit the park, when travelling through to Hackney — any excuse for the pleasure.
